I watched every halftime report, Sports Center, and ESPN News until 11:30.

All they showed all night was Cincy’s three at the half, another Cincy three, Maxiel’s missed free throw, Kirkland’s miss at the end, and the confetti before they rushed the court.

No mention of Eddie’s big game, Plavich’s 8 threes or any Charlotte player by name.

i noticed that too… i was going to post something about that in just a sec… also note on espn.com - all we have for recognition of this W is a link under the headlines… once again, we don’t get any videos on espn motion… the only one i saw was the one that was titled “cincinatti mauls 49ers in second half effort” - which was last time we played them

But they did show the final score… and that’s what counts the most.

I saw those highlights too. I thought they would mention or show Eddie’s play, Plav’s 3’s, or Bobby’s T. Nope, but they did show the score.

Unfortunately, they were the better known/higher ranked team. The way ESPN is going to cover it is going to be as Cincinnati losing it, not the 49ers upsetting them.

Yeah… you’d think they’d show at least 1 highlight of the winning team… maybe Eddie’s steal and dunk at the other end to tie the all time CUSA record. :rolleyes: Oh well…

Link on ESPN BB page Headlines is “Good Charlotte: Cincinnati upset by old Nemesis”. Inside is a quote by Huggins “Eddie Basden dominated the game”. I like the sound of that! :slight_smile:

or maybe a comment about us shooting 89% from the freethrow line… yeah, i can’t belive we didn’t get hardly any credit for the win… but what’s new

The highlights sucked. I did the same thing channel surfing and couldn’t believe how they were all of Cincy. We were the only winning team tonight wthout a highlight. On an upside, Bilas came through again. He gave Plavich an honorable mention for player of the day on the Syracues pregame/ESPN gameday.

I noticed the same thing. No Plavich trey montage, no Basden (pick one) awesome play, no Niner love at all. I guess we are still under their radar.

Oh come on, we’ve been on Sportscenter as much as or maybe more than any team that hasn’t been ranked all year.

I was going to post something about this too. What utter bullshit. They didn’t show one offensive or defensive play from the home team. We didn’t win the game, UC lost it. What bullshit. We will have to win the NC to get an ounce of respect on television. :ticked:
