Southern Conference Preseason Poll

Potential Charleston Classic foe Wofford was picked first and (ho hum) Davidson was picked third in the South Division of the Southern Conference in a vote of the coaches. The good news, Bobby Kummer is at a winner (Appalachian State) while Buzz Peterson goes to the last place team (UNC Wilmington).

Although I may agree with your opinion, we have given up all rights to public smugness the last five years.

Its all relative…but I give up NOTHING to the Southern Conference even if we have the same results for 5 MORE years.

But it is worth pointing out that the Davidson team that went 23-0 against the Southern conference and had their great NCAA run lost to Charlotte that year. The only recent blemishes are the previous year blowout to Davidson, and the two recent debacles against App St. Otherwise Charlotte has dominated them.
