Spring Football Practice
Greg at practice today. Happy to have him around to (hopefully) keep his brother’s head on straight.

That’s beautiful to see… I am so hopeful his brother has a great year and it gives him a foundation for his entire future. But what’s also cool is this will build a bridge between the Niners and Panthers faster than anything else could have… looking forward to seeing some panthers in the stands. Thai could be a special year in so many ways.

clt says luuuuuke was there.

No doubt in my mind that having Greg around the program while Kevin is here will help Kevin grow and mature. Seems as though Greg is really taking an interest in our program and forming a friendship with Coach. Beneficial for everyone involved and a relationship I’m so thrilled to see we are nurturing. The more Panthers connections we have, the better. Crucial.

More analysis on who was there than how players look. Sounds about right.

Its awesome that we have Panther players/coaches around the program, it can only help us.

But, how the QB battle going, hows the offensive line looking, is Austin Duke back to 100%, what about the defense, does the D-Line look bigger, hows the secondary coming along?

From what I have heard Kalif is still dealing with a knee issue, but welcoming contact at every practice. So that’s most likely a good sign that his knee is coming along.

Did Kevin change his name to Keith? COME ON MAN!!!

Good article on Cody Keith, who (according to a shoutbox insider) has a good shot at being the starter.

:)) :)) :)) :)) :)) :)) :))

I had an opportunity to go by the practice yesterday, would say that we do have some young talent there to be developed. As far as the quarterbacks are concerned, I was most impressed with Klugh, Keith, Olsen, and then Barden. This was just from what I saw yesterday, so I don’t know what has been going on in the other practices and meetings, so I am just talking about Saturday’s practice. Klugh has a pretty good arm, and was accurate yesterday, while leading the offense on a couple TD drives. Keith has a good arm also, and seemed comfortable and confident in the pocket. Olsen appears to be still getting comfortable with the offense, but has a lively arm. Barden seems to still be a little inaccurate at times, but has good arm strength.

clt asks how Riley is doing?

Mike Norvell said Riley Ferguson has stood out at the QB spot thus far. TE Daniel Montiel agreed. “There’s a ‘wow’ factor [about Riley].”

I have never seen anyone use the “Q” on our license plates for anything meaningful before. It is sad that it no longer works for her. It is also sad that we got “Q” and Clemson got “C”.
Mine is QCESQ.

I think we got Q because Charlotte is the Queen City.

Well that and it took us about 3 years to get 200 people to sign up for the initial plates. By then, the “C” was gone.

Matt is a class act. Proud he is a Niner.

It sucks that we don’t have someone covering practice consistently, not even our video people through Charlotte49ers.com. I need to see daily updates, or at least weekly, videos from them with quick interviews with the coaching staff and players. I’m not personally as concerned with seeing as many baseball update videos that they post to the site and youtube. (JMHO)
