I coulda been in this one. The casting company I work with asked me specifically, but I had to turn them down because filming was done mostly in Asheville and I could not commit to commuting there or staying there for however long they needed me. HUGE BUMMER.

I am really excited about this one because I had friends that knew some of these yahoos. Crazy time!
I know it’s not a summer movie - but damn… I am ready
Wait until it’s on cable or netflix, so it’s free.
Here is the trailer for Batman vs Superman. Not coming out this summer, but still an awesome trailer.

clt is excited for alf, return from melmac.
Saw Avengers: Age of Ultron last night. If you liked the first Avengers movie this one won’t disappoint you.
Age Of Ultron verdict: I loved it. Most reviews are saying not quite as good as first, but I actually think this one was better.
Wedding Ringer: It was better than i expected, or I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. There were some funny parts. I like Kevin hart in the movie more than kevin hart trying to be funny at award shows or allstar games. Definitely worth a redbox rental and 2 hrs.
Mad Max rocked. Not much character development or dialog, but still a solid story with insane action sequences (most done with practical effects). True to the original films, many of the characters are campy and over-the-top, but that has always been part of the charm this series has. Despite some serious subject matter, it never takes itself too seriously, and its a lot of fun. May have to go watch it again in 3D.
clt says that clt hears that pitch perfect too is not very good.
Solid review. Mad Max was wonderfully F’d up!
EDIT: if youre in the university area and havent visited Starlight Cinema in a while, you should go. Theyve upgraded the theater to have electric reclining pleather seats and food tray. Verra nice.

Second everything mentiond here. Mad Max was fantastic. Had not seen any of the previous ones, and neither had my friends when we went and saw it. Now we all want to watch the originals.
Starlight Cinemas is great too. Went there for the first time when I saw Kingsman. Very enjoyable experience and I will definitely be going back again.
Saw Fury Road in 2D yesterday and man what a ride. Movie is totally insane and a worthy entry into the Mad Max cannon. The movie started fast and never let off the gas. I hope George Miller has a few more Max ideas in him and that they don’t take 15 years to make it to the theater like this one - cuz he won’t be alive that long.
Next on the list is looking like Terminator. None of the June offerings really have me all the excited - I know I know Jurassic World. I do want to see Ex Machina too though. Tomorrowland looks cool - but not really going down as a must see in theater in my book.
As a side note the $5 matinee at Arysley isn’t bad.
Terminator Genisys, was actually pretty good.
OK So with the summer winding down here are my thoughts:
Best Picture: Mad Max
Biggest Box Office: JW
Biggest Flop: F4
Biggest Surprise: MI5
Now bring on Spectre and SW!
I saw IM5? 6?:RN. It’s not a bad movie. The action sequences are really great, but the plot isn’t coherent, even for a mindless MI movie, and the whole thing appears cobbled together. Ving Rhames’ character was completely unnecessary - he just needed a paycheck and he was part of the old crew.
GP was a better movie. Less disjointed.
MM:FR was absolutely nuts. Amazing how a movie can have so little plot and be so enthralling. I wonder how it’ll hold up on a 2nd viewing?
So it’s not the summer any more, but Star Wars lived up to the hype.
Really did - what a great time.
