Don’t know if this has been brought up already, but I found it rather interesting…

“LSU freshman forward Tasmin Mitchell’s godfather is Tigers assistant Butch Pierre. The pair have known each other since Mitchell was 12.”

Speaking of assistant coaches who carry the keys to big-time recruits, huh?! We’re able to hold onto Butch and Tasmin comes to Charlotte. Our bad fortunes with former assistants is reaching epidemic proportions. Hmmmm…

Butch Pierre is a prime time assistant. He was responsible single handedly for bringing in our Lousiana area talent (Hayward, Young, KP, Marlon Thomas, Kedric Smith)

He was/is a good recuiter and has a great eye for talent. I’m surprised he hasn’t ever gotten a look as a head coach. Wonder why that is?

I think he should get strong looks if Bobby leaves. A guy with serious recruiting connection, ties to the program and from a pedigree program.
