I jsut so happened to be listen to the Dan Patrick Show on ESPN radio today and during one of the commercials they game on an pubbed the game on ESPNClassic on Wednesday. The advertisment went like this:
Watch Corey Santee and the TCU Horned Frogs travel to Charlotte as they take on the tuff UNC Charlotte 49ers in what will be a Retro Game on ESPNClassic at 8:00
How about pubbing some of our guys? How about …as they travel to take on Eddie Badsen and the tuff Charlotte 49ers?
Corey Santee is averging 13 points 3 rebounds and 3 assists a game but come on?
I’m having a lot of trouble in referring to this as a “retro game.” I think of “retro” as the renewal of a long lost series between teams or the annual battle perhaps.
The 49ers have a long, storied history with Texas Christian University… playing ONCE, eleven months ago today! :rolleyes:

well since this is a “retro game”, i’m sure they made that mistake on purpose… cause we just recently - 2 years ago? - we changed our name to the Charlotte 49ers.
