Tennessee Pre-game

So where is everyone going Friday uptown to pre-game?

I have heard there is a pub crawl but can’t find details,

I have heard the 49er Club is having their pre-game function at Whiskey River.

Word was the 49er club event was for those with the pregame meal only. Not sure if that is true?

HotRod mentioned something about a bar crawl - I will check with him.

Found the bar crawl info:

So, lower level is students, season tickets, and these guys?

Not sure how I feel about that… I wonder how many UT fans are going to get in on that?

The lower level is pretty large at TWC Arena. I would guess 6000-7000. When we played Wake at TWC I got in on this bar crawl and the seats were lower level but way up in the corner.

Whatever you guys decide to do, I would suggest copious amounts of alcohol.

I already have a game ticket. How much is just the bar crawl?

Attendance for the Wake game was over 10,000 I believe and I don’t recall seeing anyone in the upper levels.

My fiancee and her mother were sitting in the upper deck for the Maryland game. I don’t know what attendance was for that game though.

I hope you guys plan on getting super smashed for this one… might be the only way to handle it.

Damn, that’s what I was going to post.

I have witnessed us lose to Gardner-Webb, ECU, and stDavidson in person this year. I am numb to the pain already.

Yeah actually I can take us getting taken to the woodshed by TN much easier than some of the other games… we lose this one, big deal.

This one is a resume builder. I hope we pull it out.

There was a scattering of people in the upper bowl for both WF and Maryland.

I’m gonna score me some crack for the first time for this game. Green crack, of course. :stuck_out_tongue: :o :)) :-* ::slight_smile: ??? 8) ;D

So after this there is still no definitive word on where we want to pregame. I don’t see hanging out at Dixies on the crawl, Pic’s is a little bit of a walk, but doable. Other thoughts?

I would say grab some Bojangles and a case of beer and tailgate in the Dixies parking lot, but it looks like a 40% chance of rain. Wild Wing Cafe at Epicenter was another option I was considering.

Given the lack of support for this team so far this season, the Athletic Dept. ought to “throw the doors open” and let all fans participate in any pregame events on the schedule. That would go a long way.
