I won the bet with Hootie according to the offical NCAA RPI.

lol! Get outta here. We won more games and beat you head to head. Nice to see you show up though. Praise lebo!
Those are the offical NCAA numbers, and a bet’s a bet, just here to settle up.
We were 35 spots behind you with two weeks left so I do like how we finished the year strong and considering we lost about 70% of our scoring last year to graduation and had a lot of new players to work in, I still like the direction we are heading. 4 starters and quality pieces returning, all recruited by Lebo that all got better as the year went on.
You guys praise Major’s recruiting, but he has only brought in 2 players in 2 years that have done anything on the court and no one the level of Paul or Kemp.
Holy fuck! go away!
And yet we beat you…at your place.
Run along now.
You guys were pretty confident mid season that I would lose this bet. Even to the point several said I better show up and that if I didn’t show up and pay up after the season that I would be banned. Well I didn’t lose, and I did show up just like I said I would have if we finished worse. Difference is I’m not going to make Hootie pay. Keep your money Hootie.
We were 110 spots behind you mid season, so I’ll take finishing the year like we did to one game Dec 3rd. Something to build on.
Did I mention we beat you? At your place?

What was the bet again?
I thought the bet was who would win in the head-to-head match up… which we did… at lebo arena. Your arguments are not valid.
No it wasn’t, and Hootie will tell you that. I’d never bet on just one game in hoops, to much crazyness happens. We were 8 point favoirtes in that game for instance and lost by 12, and I’ve seen us beat plenty of teams we shouldn’t like your last NCAA team, Dwade Final 4 teams, etc when we were aweful. Were you better than Xavier last year? One game means little in the big picture and that’s why the bet me and Hootie had was on the entire season, and what we chose as the fairest measurement was who finished higher in the RPI if neither of us got in the NCAA or NIT.
The way we finished the last half of the year was certainly a lot stronger, and I’ll take getting better and finishing strong to peaking in early December any day. With basically 4 new starters, all Lebo recruits, that got better as the year went on last year, and all returning that bodes well for next year.

I just realized why you come here. Nobody else in Greenville is willing to talk hoops with you. Sorry man, that sucks.

LOL! Again, get outta here with that shit. We are in the middle of some of the darkest times in our programs history. Yet we still beat you and ended the year with more wins.
Lost more games too, and since you don’t want to recognize some of the wins we had like the NCAA officially does in their record books, lets just say it helps the win total to play 4 extra games and play a weaker schedule like you did. We got better as the season went on and were playing our best ball in March when it mattered.
Player Efficiency Ratings is the best stat in basketball. It’s no coincidence Michael Jordan is the all time career leader in the NBA, or that Anthony Davis is #1 in college basketball this year, or that Braswell was your best (and only) player with a rating over 20. For all the ESPN ratings you threw out here is how their recruits actually performed on the court.
22.3 Kemp
20.7 Paul
15.3 Sampson
12.7 Bowden
10.0 Campbell
16.4 Mayfield
13.6 Henry
8.3 Williams
6.3 Nickerson
The bottom 2 guys didn’t even outperform Brisco.
One game means little in the big picture
And yet it means a lot when you decide to come on another team’s board and try to trash talk. Your team lost at home, handily. If it was close, I’d give you the random stuff happens, but your team got soundly beaten.
Lebo’s players were on the court, Major’s recruits couldn’t even take the bulk of minutes from guys like Brisco.
They were on the court because the rest of your roster was so terrible. And your only good players will be gone after next year, because Lebo decided to rely so heavily on jucos and transfers.

That’s precious. You still lost. At your place.
And yet it means one major thing - that when we played head to head we beat you. All the other crap you spout aside - we played, we beat you. When push comes to shove that is all that matters, not player ratings, not rankings, not recruits and certainly not records and schedules (did you really take a shot at our schedule when you had some lower level teams on yours?)
This is all that matters:
12/3/11 in Greenville Charlotte 76 ECU 64
There us a reason why the NCAA championship goes to a winner on the court, not an RPI leader, not a rankings leader and not the team with the best record. The team that plays and wins is deemed the best. So we played, we won, we are better until next year when this happens again, only in Halton. Talk what ever crap you want - but that is how the game is played.
Charlotte 49er Basketball > EZU Basketball
Charlotte 49er Basketball Coaches (past and present) > EZU Basketball Coach
Charlotte 49er Basketball Fans > EZU Basketball Fan
