Is the new DC memorial going to be granted the ‘national’ designation? I would be disappointed if they take that away from the KC memorial.
As an FYI, Whole Foods has backed down on this ban since the story was published. As the article points out, the poppy has been a symbol of remembrance going back to WWI.
Another reason I don’t shop at Whole Foods.
Really strange considering the C$8,000 donation to the Poppy Campaign of the Royal Canadian Legion and the planned employee in-store observance of the annual moment of silence at 11AM on November 11th. Hmm…

They Shall Not Grow Old is a great movie that puts you in the boots of soldiers in WWI. All original footage.
It’s a really good documentary…
I enjoyed this and think I’m going to have to pick this book up.

Watched “All Quiet on the Western Front”, the new one. Really liked it. Visuals were great. Good sense of conditions.
