This kid has done well for a true frosh, it’s getting lost in Curtis and Eddie rule stuff. Not saying they don’t, but this kid has come a long way since his first few games. Good defense, scores just enough to keep the D honest, and is pretty careful with the ball for non point freshman.
That shot he stutter stepped for a straight ahead three against Memphis where he ran all the way back to get, sweet. Don’t be nervous anymore kid, you belong in DI.
He certainly has his freshman moments, as expected, but I think he has a great future here. He has seen more playing time this year than I expected him to see and it will only help make him a better player down the road. I expect him to be a helluva player by the end of his sophomore year.
I spoke to him one night post game, told him I was happy he came to school. Real nice kid, thanked me and still seemed shocked that people tell him that.
Agree MNH, good post. I like Lee and think he will be a special player for us. The kid can shoot from the outside and has shown he can drive the lane too. Plus, he’s a pretty good on the ball defender. Sometimes I wish he’d look for his own shot a little less but he doesn’t do anything completely out of our offense. The fresh. definately deserved his own thread.
He has a lot of potential considering how young he is. I really like his hustle and Bobby says he is one fo the hardest workers in practice. He also has a name that ryhmes. I like that.
The best was the look on his face when he hit the three. Every since Yale, he hasn’t really had a breakout game in scoring. He has played well in other areas, although he does get a lot of perimeter fouls called on him. Wed night meant a lot to him. That shot gave him a lot of confidence, which is what he was missing. Now that he has confidence, I feel a little better having Mitch sit for bit while Leemire takes over.
Lee doesn’t it in the offense yet, it’s obvious when he comes into the game. He is a nice change of tempo but he doesn’t play fast in transition. I am not worried about it though, I know that once we open up the offense for him he’ll be a solid player. Eddie used to not fit in the offense and was primarily a role player, much like Lee is now.
I said it earlier this season in a thread, that GW will be the next “exciting player” to watch in Niner basketball. This year he’s learning what it means to play D1 ball at a high level. Next season he’ll grow into the system and learn what it means to be a Niner. His Jr year the band will learn how to play the theme from “Goldfinger”. His Sr year is going to be “wow did you see that?!” special. Write it down, and take it to the bank.
He’s got the potential, and given how hard Coach has indicated he works in practice, there is no reason not to think he won’t realize it.

Hahahaha…
Especially like the 2007 comedy factor.
2008 is gonna be special with GW’s sr year and if beasley shows along with our other players.
I’m not sure I like the 2011 line though. Is Beasley gonna transfer?? Or are we gonna miraculously have the quickest D1 football startup known to man?

actually he will most likely be required to stay 2 years, or play overseas one.
