Following this to its logical extreme, wouldn’t every school be in violation of this rule b/c of its AC system? It costs money to produce the cold air that the students enjoy when they walk in the building, and the actual AC cost money to install and operate. Any athlete that walks into a building to do anything not school related should be violating this rule.

Same could be said for computers in the library. Student athlete uses it to go to amazon to buy an X-box game, and BAM! Violation.
So who brought this rule being broken up to the NCAA for them to get the violation in the first place?

Aw, c’mon WupAss. This car washing is serious buisness. We don’t know that the athlete wasn’t using the university hose also.
It’s not some little acedemic problem like a few dozen ball players taking classes that don’t exist.
They could have atleast punished her for being attractive, in a bikini, and soaked in suds.
This doesn’t appear to be the case.
