Had a great visit to Charlotte and is also being recruited by Creighton and Army. Tulsa is also interested and he seems to be excited about the Tulsa involvement.[/b]I like our chances.....the Tulsa news isn't very good, you would think that after a "great visit" here he would be ready to commit, but who knows. sounds like if we beat out Tulsa he is ours......interesting developments now that Wash St dropped out but now we have another team who could become the favorite. somebody just shows this guy how many 3 pointers we put up each season, i don't understand why he would want to go anywhere else...
If heās excited by Tulsaās involvement sounds like he would rather play close to home
Any News about Lane lately, more importantly about the involvement of Tulsa? Has Tulsa really been much of anything since Bill Self left and they had their 2000 tourney run? I donāt know if they have rebounded or not since then but I certainly havenāt heard anything. If this kid is really attracted by has been schools in weak conferences then maybe he should look at houston for next year.
Just answering my own question, Last three year for Tulsa, 24-9, 23-10, 9-20. Seems they began to suck it up when Selfās recruits finally filtered out. Toughest competition, UTEP and Nevada. Ok but not great.
Tulsa moves to C-USA next year with UTEP, SMU, Rice.
DAMN! Why did we leave such a power conference.

Two reasons, depending on who you ask
- Fear of UAB
- Envy of Memphis
word on the street is that lane committed to dana altman at creighton.
none of us know much about him - wondering if anyone here can fill us in more than the rivals article had.
Nothing is officialā¦there are no reports of him committing other than a supposed āpop upā on his HS website. Not saying he hasnāt committed to Creighton, but FAR from official.

thatās what āword on the streetā meansā¦i would think the kids HS website is a pretty good source though.
question still remains - can anyone tell me anything about this kid?

our coaching staff must be getting frustrated with their inability to land a shooter to replace Plavich. First that JUCO guy that sounded like a lock for us skips out to Oklahoma(i thinkā¦) and now we make Lane a priority guy for us and we loose out when the other teams recruiting him included powerhouses Tulse, Creighton and Middle Tennessee State. Heck, the only other power conference team after him (Wash. St) dropped out a month or two ago. Not to knock the other teams (especially Creighton) because they obviously did something right that we didnāt, but when you have a guy on your team leading a major conference in 3 point shooting every year for however long it has been, you shouldnāt have any difficulty landing a 3 point shooter.
I guess the coaches saw this coming though, Billy Humphrey will probably be our new target shooter, heās the only other guy I see on this board that would fit the bill.
Iāve heard heās leaning towards Creighton as well. Location and feels more comfortable there. We are looking at Roberto Flores and Gonzalez for immediate help at the 2. I donāt think they are big-time long range shooters, though. We may be shooting more jumpers next year with Bennett and Alexander playing the 2.
He did indeed committ per story on rivals. Interestingly, he will be redshirting his first year.
