Highly rated PG failed to get in at Syracuse and initially looked like he might to headed to UMass or Memphis. Well, lo and behold, our name came up too in a piece in the Syracuse Post-Standard!
As of right now, Mayben's top choices appear to be Massachusetts, Memphis and UNC-Charlotte, Hart said.
yowzas, hes the number NINE ranked point guard in the entire class. mitch and jerrell will be getting all the minutes at the point though, and next year we have carlos williams comming in…not sure where he would get his minutes from
For those who didn’t RTA, he’s going the Demon Brown route. Won’t be eligible to play this year, but will get all four years of playing time if he graduates on time.

From Mike DeCourcy...
At its April board meeting, the NCAA quietly -- but justly -- adopted a rule that allows athletes who sit out as freshmen partial or nonqualifiers to play a fourth season if they have completed 80 percent of degree requirements after four years on campus. Previously, players could earn back that last season only by graduating -- which sort of harmed the mission of increasing graduation rates, didn't it?
With the ongoing implosion at Binghamton U. – six basketball players dismissed (including Mayben and DJ Rivera), resignation and reassignment of AD, and an adjunct professor dismissed – all I can say is that we dodged one with Tiki (and I’m sure UMass feels the same)! Won’t be surprised to see HC Kevin Broadus and SUNY-B prez gone before all is said and done. [And can’t forget the former Bearcat player who fled back to his native Serbia after putting a fellow SUNY-B student in a coma!]
BTW, couldn’t help but notice some similarities between UNCC and SUNY-B – both state schools founded in 1946, school colors are green and white, new downtown campuses, etc. Fortunately we don’t have the athletic scandal!

Another difference…the city of Binghamton is a DUMP. Charlotte is nice.
But something they do have we don’t…an appropriate name.

s9er, not sure where J-Fizzle is coming from on that comment. Anyway, Mayben has pretty much used up all of his eligibility between UMass, juco, and Binghamton. And with all the charges he’s facing, it’s quite likely that the only hoops he will be playing in the future will behind prison walls.
