Screw off TWC.
I saw that, but didn’t have those channels anyway, so it didn’t affect me. Did they give any reason as to why? PB probably knows.
Make the switch to DirecTV NA. You won’t regret it.
Let me know if you do, I’ll refer you and you’ll get $100. Of course I will too.
AT&T Uverse.
NFL Sunday Ticket
Nuff said.
eh who needs it. I can still watch the Panthers in HD on Fox and stream the rest online for free.
I would get Uverse if it wasn’t the same price as TimeWarner (bundling just cable and internet) and I really wasn’t missing anything by not having those channels.
I just recently signed a 2 year agreement.
It’s like they were just waiting for me to do that and then bam.
I actually do watch HDNet. I recorded movies off of there regularly. Their programming was very uneven, but the good stuff was a treat.

End of thread.

Why did you sign a two year agreement with TWC? I have to agree with MK that DirecTV is light years better.
I enjoy HDNet, too, especially for the news shows and the concerts they have. TWC must have dropped it in order to give you more public access channels.
I never had HDNet. I don’t get the Pay channels.
I’m waiting for AT&T. I can’t get Direct TV, because every rain or thunderstorm the Direct TV at work goes out. Screw that.

That may depend on the angle and location of where the satellite is placed. I have had direct tv for years and since I moved into my current house, I think I have lost the single maybe 3-4 times over 2+ years. Two times were at night when it was snowing or sleeting and the build-up cause an issue - this was fine the next morning with the sun melted everything. The others were during extreme thunderstorms…and then only for a few minutes.
EDIT - Plus they give great service. As a gift for being a ‘loyal customer,’ they have given us a free year of Showtime.
Screw off TWC.
I can see why NA is upset. Losing access to high quality shows like Vegas Confessions can be rough.

WOO WOO! :shades:
Seriously - In addition to the news shows, they run some good indie flicks, some of which they run before they even hit the theater, and the concert/festival stuff is cool the first dozen times they show it.
canceled my “HD premium package”
which means I wont be able to watch MGM HD (40s movies) or “the Smithsonian Channel”
what a loss.

NOW the thread is over. TWC offers more crap on basic cable that I thought possible… all while providing FOX and Discovery Health in all their fuzzy, poor reception goodness.
I just got an e-mail for these guys. I guess you can say scew cable & satelite!
