this could get interesting if that was to happen.

I watched an episode finally, and BOOOOO! Oh no is he or isn’t he a terrorist? Oh no missiles are heading towards the white house! Oh no there is a power struggle going on between the guy in the insurance commercials and some other suits! Oh no the terrorists shot at Jack’s convoy! Secure the perimeter!
My apologies to all of the diehard fans for mocking your show.

I caught on to the show at the middle of the end of this season and I am hooked. It’s way more believable than Alias and too me has one of the best concepts on television. While it is at times a little far fetched to believe that all of these events happen in one day, it’s better than having 2 or 3 days crammed into a one hour episode. I loved the finale and thought for sure that they killed him (if you watched you would know who I am indirectly referring to). Glad to know their will be a season 4.

The only 24 I've ever seen have been the last 4 episodes and 1 show during season 1. I must admit, after seeing 4 shows in a row... its pretty damn good. I too was saying "holy shi*" after he died. good stuff.
Season 1 - Jack saves the President
Season 2 - Jack saves the city
Season 3 - Jack saves the country
Season 4 - Jack saves the world
now get ready for…
SEASON 5 - JACK SAVES THE GALAXY FROM AN ALIEN INVASION!!!
I can’t decide which was my favorite part of 24, the episode where the stupid vp/prez couldn’t make a decsion that resulted in jack quitting so he could take on a suspsect as a civilian and in process break all his fingers to get info out of him, then when stupid prez found out had jack arrested. and the terrorist used basically aclu lawyers to help them out in that episode also and they had good debate on the use of torture with regards to terrorist and protecting country at all cost. (note, the day after this episode was the 1yr ann of abu ghraib and ted kennedy gave a speech about how torture should never be used under any circumstance)…this was priceless.
or
when the liberal tree hugging rebellious son of the Sec. of Defense turned out to be gay and working with the terrorist unknowingly.
and think about what the other heller went through in that 24 hours, the sec. of defense daughter. Her husband gets killed, her and her dad(sec of defense) get kidnapped and they nearly behead them in broadcast over internet only to be saved by the guy who she was at the time in love with secretly, Jack. and now she thinks jack is dead, and it turns out her idiot brother is a f**…talk about a day.
great show, cant wait for season five.
This is the first season I have watched… I was really into it at first, but kind of lost interest as the season went along. The plots are way too over the top for me… I like my shows to be at least somewhat believeable. Jack ended up travelling about 34597321 miles and killing 794 terrorists in 24 hours. I also find all of the side plots are really annoying (Driscoll’s crazy daughter, Jack/Audrey love story, Hudrey/Paul love story, Tony/Whatshername love story, etc.). If you can get past those two things I guess it is pretty good entertainment.
I still prefer Lost though. 2 hour season finale tonight… should be good.
The 24-hour time frame is the niche of the show and they throw in the love-story stuff to try and gain female viewers and make it a little softer for balance I guess. Personally, I think the show would be better by watching at least two shows (hours) at a time instead of drawing it out over 20 or so weeks. This season started with a bang and ended with one, is best way to describe it.
Even the nation's real defenders have noticed the parallels. "Some of our military contacts have told me, 'You don't know how close to reality you guys are,' and it's stuff we've made up. And to hear that, I mean, on one hand, that's great. On the other hand, it's spooky," "24" producer Tim Iacofano told FOX News. As for Sutherland, he would prefer it if the show were a little less realistic. "I long for the day when it goes back to being a fantastical work of fiction, as opposed to something that is actually mirroring events that are taking place in the world," he told FOX News.if its even close to realistic it’s a scary thing, obviously its not likely that real life cases have that much take place in 24 hours, but I think they are probably referring to the individual situations and trying to abide by the strict rules and regs. And stuff like that…….
Take it from someone who has watched every episode of all 4 seasons of 24: This season was a MAJOR disappointment. It wasn’t nearly creative as the last three, it was far more predictable, too far-fetched and bluntly, it was boring at times. I kind of had a feeling after the first few episodes it was going to be a letdown from previous seasons. The ending was terrible and anyone that has been a fan of the show for awhile knew Jack wasn’t going to die, well before Tony jammed the needle into his neck. Personally, I think the writers have run out of new and interesting ideas. This isn’t even the first season where Jack had to save the country from a nuke…it’s gotten THAT redundant.
Speaking of redudant, I cannot tell you enough to rent Season 3 if you want to see how good 24 can really be. Season 1 and 2 are also both fantastic with many loyal fans claiming the first season to be the best. But in terms of intensity, creativity and pure enjoyment, Season 3 will leave you speechless at times. My nerves had a tough time watching some of the late episodes. So, if you’re looking for something interesting to watch during a summer of reruns, do yourself a favor and go rent last season. It will also clear up a lot of things you saw this season if you are a new fan to the show.
I think they’re done though…as bad as this season was, I’m not feeling the least bit optimistic about Season 5 considering Jack is a fugitive now. Boring and one helluva reach for the writers, likely out of desperation for something new/different.

While we are bitching about the show… Why did the terrorists plan to steal one nuclear warhead and launch it at LA when they had been planning to meldown every nuclear power plant in the country just a few hours earlier?
That was just part of their master plan… They causes a Train wreck to distract CTU from the kidnapping of the Sec of Def., which was just to distract CTU from the melt down of all our nuclear plants, which it turns out was just a distraction from the theft and launching of a nuclear wessel to blow LA up and send it into the ocean. Thank god the terrorist we deal with in real life think small and just try to take out thousands instead of millions. And why is LA such a big target for terrorist??? Do they hate the LAkers and the Dodgers???
And as much as I’d love to bed Kim Bauer, she was the most annoying character in the history of TV in the first season. Anyone who can get kidnapped 5 times in a 24 hour period deserves what they get…
I think this ending gave them great room to operate. Next year they can actually change the storyline up if they want. How does Jack respond when the US is chasing him. Maybe the terrorists go for Jack this time. How about the Chinese, they want a piece of Jack also. Plenty of options that would be a fresh spin.
Since it was mentioned a few posts ago… wtf was up with the finale of lost?! it left far more ?'s than it cleared up. I’m assuming there will be a show called “Still Lost” next season?
And why is LA such a big target for terrorist???
because Hollywood thinks the world revolves around them, even conservative Hollywood. NY would be more realistic, but its also cheaper too to keep in hollywood. If they actually filmed this show in NYC it would cost a lot more.
LA is probably target number 3 or 4 depending on where Vegas fits in their equation. NYC and Wash DC are the top…in real life
