Total FSLs purchased update?

That position was approved before football was a done deal. And I’ll get slammed for saying it but they’re soon going into Gold Rush Auction mode as the invitations went out last week.

I got that invite the other day too, but if you’re telling me that the GGRA will prevent our ā€œteamā€ from working on the football program and you are right----then we are in deeper &^ than even I thought!!!:unhappy:
sensitive people about charlotte people dont read… just thinking of the what if… if charlotte football falls through then people that paid for their FSLs would get their money back correct? Would they get interest on that money that the school should be making off of it now also?

and… how long could football be postponed and could a FSL purchaser could ask for their money back? Like could they push the start back to 2018 if they wanted with no recourse?
I think the wording in the contract states that we have to field a football team by a certain date in either an on-campus stadium or a temporary off-campus facilty or the contract is void. Can’t remember exactly what the year was.

There was no specific date only an ā€œifā€.

I sent an email to the Football Website contact yesterday asking for this as a ā€œconcerned FSL ownerā€ (because I am) and some other questions about when we might see some more advertising/marketing. No response yet.

What are they smoking in the Athletic Office? What kind of idiot would pay $100 for a dinner or $1,000 for a table?
You should have known to not even waste that mailing on me. That was a waste of $.

Good idea. Since we are sort of shareholders now.
The Athletic Foundation has recently added a new staff member, Alex Gary. With Mike, Kelly, and Dan this represents a 1/3 increase in the team and you can bet this was done with football in mind. Getting new positions approved at the University is probably every bit as hard right now as it is in the for-profit world. Give these guys a chance.
I’ll be satisfied when I CAN SEE the effort!

Not that I’m not glad to see this!:49ers:

Are you clueless? Have you ever been to the Gold Rush Auction? Lots of people attend, including a lot of people from the message board. It’s a fundraiser that raises over $250,000 for the Athletic Foundation (which will also support football), where you get to enjoy some good food and some good drinks, while bidding on some items that can’t be found anywhere else.

I’ll be there.

Actually, it is either the most or second most successful of such an event for collegiate athletics in the country.

So we’ve crossed the 2000 mark in FSL deposits?

Just sent in my payment for two green tier FSL’s!! WOOHOOO!! I had to wait for birthday and tax refund money to come in.

I’ll probably put down money for two more in a couple months bc I really want a total of four.
