We have 2 bigs (bernard and uchebo) and one wing (ivan) that are leaving. So we need big men to commit, and so far we have a point guard and a wing who will have to sit out a year coming in. We need bigs badly and we only have one scholarship left to replace two big guys. So unless someone else transfers our big men are going to be benas, vanhook, and lukas next year…not good
I wonder if Tanner Smith had a hand in this? I mean I guess it isn’t kosher to talk to players on other teams about transferring, but if you know somebody that knows somebody.
i thought the same thing but i have a feeling that the coaching staff will find scholarships. maybe price will have his son be a walk on.
I just thought of something. Since Austin said he was transfering before the season started, would this season be the one he sits out or would he have to sit out next year as well…
He can play next December after 1st semester ends. He is bigger than VanHook so I’m thinking be may be a utility 3/4 kinda guy that can play multiple spots.

Wouldn’t think so[/quote]I think that you may be right and he will be eligible at the beginning of next season with two years of eligibility remaining. His five year window started his freshman year, played two years, declared that he was transferring prior to his Junior year, remained in school at Clemson the fall semester in academic good standing, and now will sit out the Spring semester at Charlotte for a total one year sit out period.

He has some size.He and Ajukwa are 6’6".[/quote]no idea how good either will be but it sure is nice to have some size on the wing again. 6’6 is still a little undersized for sf, but better than what we have had since Nickerson transferred.
I wonder if any Clemson football players want to transfer to an up and coming program.
He’s not eligible in the Fall since he didn’t enroll here for the Fall semester. He’ll be going after Fall semester is over. Not sure I see him playing the 4 at all. He’s more of a SF/SG, so I’ll just look at him as a Wing.
Little undersized for SF at 6’6"? Eddie Basden and Galen Young were pretty good at that height. 6’6" is fine.
He’s probably assuming at least one player will transfer out.
Given the way things work these days it’s almost a guarantee.
And yes, the next commit better be a true big or we are going to be in bad shape.
