The second commit for 2014 is in! He chose the Niners over offers from UTEP, Missouri State, LA Monroe, and LA Lafayette.

Welcome to Niner Nation, Tristan!

Is this our most long distance recruit yet?

Not if you count Mikell Hunter from Air Force or the Juco from California.

His name alone will strike fear into many a running back.

clt bets he can carve up an offense.

Nice recruitā€¦ Going for quality!

Iā€™m very curious to know how we found out about him. Oklahoma isnā€™t exactly our recruiting territory. We have pulled in Jucos and transfers from the west, but for high school kids we have pretty much stuck to NC, SC, GA, and WV.

Lambert is from KS so Iā€™m sure he has some contacts in OK.

They make them kids bigger out there.

Pretty nice 40 time for a non-BCS level player. 4.75 seconds isnā€™t bad at all.

So I was browsing rivals and noticed this: http://rivals.yahoo.com/charlotte/football/recruiting/player-Tristan-Butcher-151011;_ylt=AsYur2jNnLS_iDnKEgjkmoxUrZB4

Is he still committed to us or to LA Lafayette?

Heā€™s a Niner.

Same thing happened with that 5-star Marshall bball commit the other day. Said he was committed to Marshall and somewhere else, Manhattan I believe.
