Nice piece about the game in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch…
My boss is a UK grad, and we are always discussing b-ball together. I warned him that I would have to give him a hard time if the mighty UK Wildcats lost in Rupp Arena to a team that my sorry 49er team beat pretty handily.
I’ve been giving him a hard time. It’s the most joy I’ve had this season. I also rubbed his nose in it when they lost to Gardner Webb and we beat them by 30 last year.
That MSU win is still a very good win. On the road against a good SEC program is never easy. Maybe the lone bright spot this season, but that would have been an NCAA resume win if we actually had a resume.
