I believe Hammond still actually has Oliver. Took him two years to get it from Africa back to the UK. I haven’t watched the finale yet but I heard there were references to the Botswana special. I watched that over the weekend.

You are correct on all accounts. He still loves Oliver and has taken it to various car shows and featured it on Drivetribe.

Started watching The Terror on Netflix. Part of the recent AMC deal with them.

Interesting blend of naval drama, survival drama and horror.

It’s not that horrific. I would call it horror lite.

Which is good for a true horrorphobe such as myself.

Still never seen the exorcist. And never will.

Been enjoying Tulsa KIng (7 episodes in). I was worried Stallone might be too old for this type of role but he kills it. Excellent humor in it too.

Episode 1 was pretty damn good.

I think this might end up being the next big show. Collin Farrell is unrecognizable. He becomes Oswald.

Cool!

I do hope it is a little more like season 1 though. Think I like Reacher a little more as a loner, though I liked Oscar (Chief of Detectives) and Roscoe (the blonde deputy) a lot too.

Whoah, highest recommendation. I will say if you want to watch something different, with good acting by the 2 main stars, then I will recommend it. But when I include the subject matter, the general feeling you get while watching and a little repetitiveness, I have to give it a slightly lower recommendation. I gave it 7 out of 10 on IMDB.

Watched the finale of The Penguin and wow they stuck the landing on the series. It was so much better than I was expecting.

Will admit that I haven’t watched Wolf Hall though I have seen and read other histories and visual depictions of Henry VIII and his wives - as well as own a copy of keyboardist Rick Wakeman’s solo album The Six Wives of Henry VIII. And toured Henry’s Hampton Court Palace home just outside of central London a number of years ago.

Anyway, I have always thought Anne Boleyn met her fate via an English executioner’s axe. Didn’t realize burning at the stake was seriously considered or that eventually a French swordsman was brought over to carry out the sentence.

I tried to watch Dune Prophecy tonight.

Couldn’t make it past 30 minutes… Zzzzz

I’m on episode 4 of The Penguin. It has gotten really good. I’m looking forward to the finale.

Really hoping this is a faithful adaptation. If so, it should be good, and fairly easy to follow (though there will be a lot going on in the background).

clt says this is looks pretty good

I watched it because, well, Megan Fox. Given all her surgeries, she actually looks like a robot. She’s still nice, but no where as hot as when she was looking under the hood of that Camaro. Yes, age catches up with all of us, but the current trend of Hollywood women butchering themselves is asinine. The movie itself as OK, nothing special.

Dune Prophecy really gets going on episode 3. Aggrevating since the season is only 6 episodes. I think they had a great 2.5 hour movie that they tried to convert to a 6 hour tv show.
