TV Show Start Times

Can’t belive some of these shows are starting back up so soon. Can’t wait for The Office, Prison Break and 24. Lost is still too far off to get excited. Also, another good show, despite it being on MTV is “2-A-Days.” If you’ve never seen it, it tracks the best high school football team in Alabama from start of season through finish. Good inside look at how a program like that operates. I think the QB from last year’s state championship team signed with a Southern Conference school. Furman maybe.

I was really hoping this thread was going to be about how the broadcast networks are trying to battle the DVR and TiVo by making shows start either one or two minutes before or after the scheduled times, so that you miss the beginning or end of the show.

Thank you. I didn’t want to look these up. Where did you find this list?

The Office is my favorite show on tv…I got the first 2 seasons on DVD for Christmas…funny as hell!

I was hoping the same thing Brick…

When’s the first Sopranos?

Also, you should be able to set the DVR to start recording before/stop after the show start times.

ME TOO!

I had never seen the episodes “The Alliance” and “Basketball” from Season 1. Probably my favorite two episodes EVER.

You can set it to catch the shows, but, if you’re recording let’s say four things (two stations simultaneously, and two shows back to back) then I think you’re screwed … or you’ll have to watch the first minutes/last minutes of one show on one DVR recording, then switch to the other DVR recording to watch teh rest of the show … theyr’e just trying to annoy us.

I talk to people all the time about this show and seem to get a mixed bag of feelings about it. Some people love it…others hate it. I think think it is the funniest sitcom I have ever watched.

The Alliance is one of my favorites.

I also like the the episode from this season where they are find out that one of the new people from the other branch was in prison, and he happens to be a black guy.

Michael asks the group to name a white person they trust and he will name a black person he trusts more.

Jim- “How about Jesus”

Michael - “huh…um…Apollo Creed”

I love the episode (might be the first in season 2) where they all go to the convention. And, they turn on that black light for the “room party” the boss kept wanting to have or whatever. And the boss (can’t remember his name), says “What is that?” (there’s stuff glowing on his room’s mattress). Response: “It’s either semen or urine.” Boss replies, “I sure hope it’s urine.”

I don’t watch the show that much, but that had me rolling.

24 is all that matters.
Bust those terrorists!

YES!!! I love that.

I don’t think i have ever laughed so hard when at the end of The Alliance Dwight had yellow hair.

I don’t think I’ll ever find a sitcom as comical as Seinfeld but The Office is the first one since Seinfeld that actually makes me laugh out loud. There are a couple dud episodes each season but for the most part, that show is consistently hilarious.

Dirt looks exciting

Dirt looks exciting

… at least the actress does.

Courtney Cox?

Yeah, she’s great…
Courtney Cox?
Yea no doubt, my favorite from friends, I kept seeing the advertisements for Dirt and I am going to watch it just because she is in it.

Saw the first act for the pilot of The Knights of Prosperity that comes on ABC tonight. Looks freakin hilarious. Definitely will be watching.

Did anyone watch Dirt last night? If so, don’t give anything away, but is it worth watching? I DVR’d it simply because of how much the promos were shoved down my throat during Nip/Tuck. Figured I’d give it a shot even though I don’t care for Courtney Cox.
