I am so encouraged by Dr. Gaberâs message. She referred to the university as âCharlotteâ in the entirety of her message. Do I sense a sea change?
CHARLOTTE, N.C. â This fall, UNC Charlotte welcomed to campus its largest-ever class of first-time college students.
In combination with new highs for graduate and international students, and along with transfer students, the universityâs total enrollment is at 30,298. UNC Charlotteâs undergraduate student enrollment is the second-highest for the UNC systemâs 17-member institutions.
Those that thought we had fallen below 30k. Nope.
UNC Charlotte students/faculty might be the only people actually paying to ride the light rail.
Amazing what happens with a Chancellor that sees the value in rankings.
#3 for public and #6 overall in the state

Pet peeve: this is a bit of pot / kettle / black, especially when it comes to how many grammatical errors are in my posts here⌠however, for anything public like this, I wish we would be professional enough to employ correct grammar.
âThird best public business schoolâ or â#3 public business schoolâ - either works. But â#3 bestâ is awkward.
Note - this doesnât even begin to approach the grammatical atrocity of âTop Bestâ or the even more egregious âtop most bestâ lists that proliferate social media.
Forget the grammar. Who is the unit in the front of the pic. Calf raises are life!!
#3, but the University system still felt it had to put a Chapel Hill MBA program here in Charlotte. Such BS!
Chapel Hill limiting UNC Charlotte from starting a medical school or a law is negatively affecting the state of North Carolina economy. Screw them and their anti-free enterprise monopolistic agenda.
And now, Elon University is openinig a Law School in our city. Why does our university continue to allow us to get passed by in our own city? Why are we so passive? Is it always the UNC Board?
Is it always the UNC Board?
Yes, always. They even trained Dubois to not bother to ask.
