yeah, I hear you⦠neither is light rail⦠but, you know how all that goes.
People just need to vote for fiscal responsibility. No oneās really sending a message.
Hell, most the politicians in Raleigh are from one of those two schools anyway.

I highly doubt that.
I highly doubt that.
I disagree⦠Look what itās already done for enrollment, # of applicants, etc⦠You know those people eventually turn into donating alumni.
And, pride in an alma mater can be very powerful. People like to support something they believe in.

I believe you might only be thinking for today, not tomorrow.
These are recent events.
Increased applicants mean either: 1. Enrollment goes up, or 2. The college will be more selective, bringing in a smarter, more competitive applicant.
In either case, after they graduate, endowment will increase because there will be either: 1. More donors to give or 2. More successful donors.
Hereās the most important part:
Corporate sponsors donate not only to athletic foundations but also academics in a very big way⦠and that is where the bulk of most universities $ come from. Corporate donors LOVE winning programs with HIGH visability⦠Itās excellent PR for them.
So, I have to respectfully disagree with you.
