UNCC Endowment ranked #337

yeah, I hear you… neither is light rail… but, you know how all that goes.

People just need to vote for fiscal responsibility. No one’s really sending a message.
Hell, most the politicians in Raleigh are from one of those two schools anyway.

I highly doubt that.

I highly doubt that.

I disagree… Look what it’s already done for enrollment, # of applicants, etc… You know those people eventually turn into donating alumni.

And, pride in an alma mater can be very powerful. People like to support something they believe in.

We have more money that App State without a national championship football team…

As for Idaho State, people will donate, not to the endowment, but to athletics. Which is fine…

I believe you might only be thinking for today, not tomorrow.
These are recent events.

Increased applicants mean either: 1. Enrollment goes up, or 2. The college will be more selective, bringing in a smarter, more competitive applicant.

In either case, after they graduate, endowment will increase because there will be either: 1. More donors to give or 2. More successful donors.

Here’s the most important part:

Corporate sponsors donate not only to athletic foundations but also academics in a very big way… and that is where the bulk of most universities $ come from. Corporate donors LOVE winning programs with HIGH visability… It’s excellent PR for them.

So, I have to respectfully disagree with you.
