For all you people who did not get this email. Anyone know where to find the map? they have links, but there isnt nothing there.

THE NINER, THE NUGGET AND THE CRI EXPRESS

THE NEW UNC CHARLOTTE CAMPUS SHUTTLE SYSTEM

UNC Charlotte Parking and Transportation Services has partnered with
the Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) to establish a pilot
program to provide campus shuttle service beginning Monday August 21st,
the first day of Fall Semester classes, and continue throughout the
Fall Semester. Shuttles will run daily Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. -
6:30 p.m. on all scheduled class and exam days. There will be no fee
charged to board any campus shuttle and it will be available to all
students, faculty, staff and University guests. Rather than driving
around campus looking for a “close-in parking space” the University
community is encouraged to save time and avoid frustration by utilizing
vacant parking spaces in outlying parking areas such as Lots 6, 25, and
26 (Faculty/Staff only) and catch the shuttle to their desired campus
location. Why walk when you can ride!

Campus Routes:
-The CRI Express Shuttle (30 minute round trip to and from Main and CRI
campuses; 15 minutes each way)

-The Niner (clockwise run of the northern loop at 10 minute intervals)

-The Nugget (counter-clockwise run of the northern loop at 10 minute
intervals)

Tips for Parking and Traffic First Two Weeks of Classes:

-PLEASE REMEMBER THAT PEDESTRIANS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY IN ALL
CROSSWALKS ON CAMPUS!

_PLEASE KNOW SEVERAL WAYS TO GET WHERE YOU NEED TO BE! You can access
the Parking Services Web page at
http://facilities.uncc.edu/maps/files/Parking8_5x11.pdf for a detailed
map. Most people waste precious time in lines when other avenues are
available to get them to their destination.

-Come early (prior to 7:30 am) or leave later (after 6:00 pm) to avoid
heavy peak time traffic. This will make it easier to find a space and
require less circulation. Use the extra time to work out in the fitness
areas, study, or enjoy breakfast in one of the cafes or other dining
facilities.

-Find a space in a remote lot, park, and catch the new shuttle. This
is often faster than “circling campus” to find a closer space because
the closest spaces are usually full by 10:00 am. Best lots to quickly
find a space and catch the shuttle are: Lot 6 (near Martin Village),
Lot 25 (behind Squires Hall, or Faculty/Staff Lot 26 (behind Squires
Hall and beside the Facilities Management and Campus Police Building).

-Faculty Staff Gated Lots and Decks generally fill by 9 am. Gates
cards guarantee access to these areas but not that a space is
available. If arriving late on the west side of campus, try the upper
part of the West Deck or use the Lot 25 option.

-If leaving campus between 5 and 6 pm, avoid Vanlandingham Rd. near
Fretwell. Try using Mary Alexander Rd. to Mallard Creek Church Rd. or
the bottom level of East Deck 2 that exits to Rt. 49 South (University
City Blvd).

-If arriving on campus for night classes between 5 and 6 pm, avoid
Vanlandingham Rd. near Fretwell. Enter campus by using either Cameron
Blvd., Mary Alexander Rd, or the bottom level of East Deck 2 from 49
South (University City Blvd).

-Disabled parking is available on campus ONLY to individuals who have a
DMV issued disabled placard and a valid permit registered to them.

-Remember: Parking Permits are required on the first day of class.
Access the Parking Services Web page at http://www.parking.uncc.edu for
information about our extended hours.

-Class schedules have changed this year and the impact of those changes
on traffic and parking are yet to be determined. Please allow extra
time during this period of change.
