Stopped by there this afternoon thinking I’d give em a shot to see if they had anything new in for us Niners. They had two new sweatshirt hoodies, excellent quality. One is green with a gold charlotte and the C logo, gold lined hood. The other was grey with a green Charlotte, C logo, and green lined hood. I’ll try and get some pics up a little later.
Price: $24.99
If I were to see something this nice at a game at the bookstore stand, I bet it would run $50…
Value City… The Charlotte 49ers underground for gear…
Sounds like another trip down there. Get those pics up.
Someone in Value City purchasing knows there is a market. On a related note, I went in the Wake Forest Deacon Shop at Hanes Mall yesterday and picked up one of their catalogs. Incredible variety of items available, finely produced catalog. I’d purchase something from each page if I’d attended WFU.
i say we make an effort to each go buy one item from there. Show them we support them, and items without the “UNC” Prefix
Great idea! ninerID. I bought a Charlotte windbreaker a couple of weeks ago. And, will come back more often for all of the cool Niner gear they have to offer. I hope they will keep it up.
I just spent over $100 at Value City last week on Niners and Panthers gear. I’ll be making a regular trip there it looks like.
How hard would it be for the University area Walmart or Target to carry stuff likes this? How about the bookstore?? Students would be all over this stuff for this price. Someone is asleep at the wheel as always.

The Wal-Mart had lots of Niner merchandise when it first opened (1996ish). I was still in school. I remember going up there and buying a couple of mason jar mugs with the Norm logo on them, and a sweatshirt with the old 49 logo that we used for a couple of years until the current C-logo was implemented. I’m sure their excuse for no longer carrying it is the same as everyone else’s. I went in there two seasons ago, and it was the most unorganized store I’ve seen next to the old Big Lots. They had no Niner items anywhere.
The Target opened about the time I graduated, so I can’t speak for them because I’ve never been in that one.

The bookstore has had some quality merchandise over the years, but they charge double for it. The only deal I ever felt like I got in there was the Niner Nation (green) shirt for $8, tax included. They know the market is small, so they charge whatever they want. Perhaps Value City will begin to change their minds.
Mac, did you see these hoodies at the Value City in Matthews or the one near the university?
If anyone is planning to get down that way, can you pick me up a hoodie? If you can, send me a PM. I probably won’t be in the Charlotte area until late October, but I can send some money your way.
I know its October, but I will probably be knocking out Christmas shopping a little early. I may buy 5-6 pullovers.
Great price, great colors, great product, no UNC. There is no excuse for us not to eat up this offer in hopes to get more stuff on shelves, in other places.
how many are down there? I’ve been looking for a good hoodie for like… hell the past 5 years I was in school… some of you keep your greasy mits off until I can get down there and get mine.

You’re right, Walmart used to have some 9ers stuff when I started school (96) and I had some old school 49er flip flops from there.
I’ve never seen anything 49ers in Target.
As far as the bookstore, I’ve seen several stores at the malls around here and the Value City, sell quality Charlotte gear for decent prices. I haven’t seen any of that same gear at the bookstore. Why can’t they get the stuff these stores are getting and sell it at the bookstore?
