Volleyball “Dig Pink” National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally

I didn’t see a thread on this but thought it was deserving. Our Volleyball team has been in the news quite a bit lately. Wilson from Fox News Rising was in Halton yesterday promoting this Friday’s Dig Pink Game.

On Friday October 15th the Charlotte Women’s Volleyball team will be participating in the “Dig Pink” National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally. This will be an event that we hope involves a large number of individuals in the community. Charlotte Volleyball will promote Breast health education as well as raise funds to help eliminate this disease. “Dig Pink” attendees will not only cheer Charlotte on as they compete on the court but will support the cause by donating funds and make a statement by wearing pink to the match. A school-record crowd of 1,803, mostly a sea of pink, watched the Charlotte 49ers volleyball team defeat Temple 3-2 (22-25, 25-19, 25-16, 17-25, 15-8) in the ninth-annual Dig Pink match, raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Research Friday night in Halton Arena. The 49ers players, coaches and staff were clad in pink, and the team gave away 1,000 pink t-shirts for the event.
