Wake Law coming to Charlotte

In addition to the existing MBA program in Charlotte, Wake Forest is going to start offering law classes in its new uptown campus by 2012. Other programs may follow…

Once again, Dubois and UNC Charlotte, due to past excuses for not creating/implementing programs that this city truly needs, will be on the OUTSIDE looking IN.

Good job, Dubois.

WFU-Dubois Center? :hammer:

They’ll want to move Bowman Gray Med School classes soon.

So when can we expect the football team to move to Charlotte?

Its okay, we already HAVE a law school

Dubois is in super top secret negotiations with the WFU BOT to have the Winston-Salem campus become UNCC-Northwest. Then we shall have a football team in place along with a newly renovated stadium.

No mess to clean up on the Charlotte campus on Sunday then.

Actually, the official name will be UNCC WS.

****ing ridiculous. :ticked:

I have uncovered the master plan… And it is good news for the Football crowd and the crowd who like regularly ranked basketball teams…

AP- Charlotte NC.

In a move viewed as an inevitable formability by the UNC board of trustees Dr. Phil has agreed in principle to allow the University formerly known as UNCC to be annexed into the State of North Carolina ACC University Quad. Begining with the 2007 Fall semester, all UNCC students will now be part of the Charlotte based Liberal Arts provider for UNC Chapel Hill , NC State University, Duke and Wake Forest. The new school will be referred to as UNC-LA@Charlotte Under the Leadership of The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, North Caolina State University, Duke University, and Wake Forest University. The newly Formed UNCLA@C-UNCNCSUDUWFU will allow the aforementioned higher education leaders to concentrate on important disciplines such as medicine, nursing, law, engineering, and business leaving UNCLA@-UNCNCSUDUWFU to concentrate on Arts and vocational skills. “From an Athletic standpoint we are thrilled. Our campus will be offering the classes via the intranet to all Student Athletes at UNC CH, NCSU, and Wake. We just inherited big time hoops and 3 and 1/2 football programs. Furthermore our students don’t even need to buy new college apparel since that is what the wear already. This is truly a win win” Stated Dr. Phil from his Chapel Hill home on Wednesday. In related news Dr. Phil has been named UNC employee of the year.

Absolutely freakin mindnumbing…:ticked:

The lack of foresight that our leadership has displayed over our recent history has just been terrible…

I swear to God I am on the edge of severing ties with this school…the football movement is the only thing that has me somewhat upbeat. Hopefully Mac Everett has the vision to lead us forward.

Shame on UNCC for making me curse on Ash Wednesday!!! :ticked:

I am awaiting Dr Phil’s announcement that this is a positive thing that will only help UNCC.

I have the full story now —

Wake has a partnership with Wachovia for the new building that is being constructed uptown. Wake will start with a few floors in this building. Over time, Wake will take on additional floors as they continue to expand their presence here in Charlotte. Their goal (I am unsure how much of this is certain to happen or what they are hoping will happen) is to offer several variations of their MBA program (which they already offer in South Park), a law program, and several doctorate level programs in business.

So… basically… taking over our turf, and… we aren’t going to do a damn thing about it.
