Charlotte 49ers Football Walk-On Tryouts
awesome.

“Every kid wants to play college football,” said Horvath, a 26-year old freshman. “There’s going to be only one ‘first’ football team here and I want to be part of it.”

Great seeing the coaches out actually coaching.

Can’t wait for Aug 31st, 2013. It’ll be here before we know it.

clt says it looks like we are an under armour team.

Did someone really show up to tryouts wearing an App State shirt?

I am embarrassed.

He was probably a spy trying to gain intel from the Stealth AD.

Seriously though, I too am embarrassed. Get that Walmart App and BC Sh!t off our field! And you want to wear our first jersey? You better bleed green dude.

All I am going to say is it is possible those kids played football at those schools before injuries or something else happened. Not saying likely, but if I played on an App team and now go to Charlotte and am trying out for a football team I would prob want to remind the staff I have some experience. Perhaps not likely - but throwing it out as a possibility.

Would you want all of your nice Charlotte gear to get ruined in try outs?

I’ll give you that it could be a possibility, but I would imagine that if a walk-on had prior D1 experience, the staff would be made aware of it in a different way than a tshirt, and would probably already have their attention on that individual. That being said, the last thing I want to the coach to remember about me is “Hey, I want to play for you, but I pull for your FCS rival.” - But hey, that’s just my opinion, and maybe none of this matters much to our coaching staff.

Maybe, but the App shirt says ‘2005 Div 1-AA National Champs’ on it. I am guessing his eligibility is up if he was on that team.

Yeah like i said not likely - I am just trying to make myself feel better about it.

Maybe he can’t afford nice athletic clothes so he buys old shirts from Goodwill?

You guys are really insensitive and always assume the worst. No wonder everyone hates this board.

Did someone really show up in a Boston College shirt? FML.

Anyone in other schools shirts is an auto cut.
