As the new Defensive Coordinator, I would pledge to choose our base formation based on our best defensive depth and skills. There will not be, “We are going to run a 4-2-5.”, no matter what our positional skill and depth. The defensive line will be a priority, and if we must steal offensive lineman to test there, then don’t call the popo.
