Thought this was a great read and a reminder of how things are perceived and what’s most important. I want to upgrade our athletic facilities as much as anyone, especially the FB stadium. But maybe having a smaller stadium would be cooler than a 50k+ stadium. Maybe a 30k stadium would be perfect and help keep our athletic department from bleeding money by not selling tickets. Would it keep us from moving “up” in conference affiliation…maybe, but at what cost? I’ve been fortunate enough to catch a game at Cameron Indoor and see how special that small venue is. Maybe we could have similar atmosphere at The Rich!
Still wish we could get a new AD though.

That librarian should have spent a little more dough to hire a good estate lawyer if his intention was not to fund shiny new toys for the athletic side of the university.
I’d also guess that the majority of people here think we SHOULD be able to upgrade facilities without scrimping on the academic side. Lord knows there have been many, many comments about fund raising.
