WBB - Education Day - We Want 104 Back

clt says that occupy 104 is off to a nice start.

He needs the attention just like ‘hot dog boy’ a few years ago. ;D[/quote]

No… he got the black out and white out mixed up. Once we started taking our coats off, he realized he’d mixed them up.

Before you go all ‘oh well he should have known better,’ a member of press row made the exact same mistake.

So, we did what every student section would do: We labeled him our token non-conformist hipster and moved on.

As far as the OP, we are over it. We went, sat courtside, and had a blast. Looking back, NWA is right… it was a communication glitch. I don’t have a problem with giving those seats to the kids. I think it was awesome that that many kids showed up and they all seemed to have a great time. My problem stemmed from the idea that we found out from a small blurb in a press release on the website.

I’d think that an AD that is comfortable sending me a facebook message asking me to market the blackout to students for them would be just as comfortable extending some sort of heads-up on this situation in the same manner.

And that, folks, is my last input on this subject. It has passed, and I have moved on to facing more important shortcomings in Halton Arena.

FIFY ;D

Loved seeing all the kids out. Didn’t see a single other schools shirt, except on teachers. I was highly impressed. They got to see our tents, and they got to cheer with us, and they had a blast. As a future educator I can really appreciate an event such as this. Plus, we got to sit court side, which as a future educator is something I will never experience. Personally I would like to thank everyone in our athletic department for putting this event on. Although it was a little different showing up at the game and being told I couldn’t sit in 104, hearing “but you can sit court side” more than made up for it. I hope to now become the Jack Nicholson of Charlotte 49er Women’s Basketball.

Now that shit funny right thurr…

Come’on… you aren’t really going to use that as an excuse are you? You had it right the first time, the kid just forgot. No biggie IMOP. I once forgot to wear a Niner Nation shirt. I had to improvise and use Niner Nation stickers. It happens. I am actually really impressed by the coordinated effort put forth by the students.

The second point touches on my point earlier, the communication should be a two way street. Perhaps show some initiative and get on top of this kind of stuff in the future. As NNG president, you should know most of what is planned for games, especially anything that will impact spirit. I don’t mean for that to sound harsh, my intention is only to help.

This is what you are referring to PB?

That’d be great advice… if I was NNG president.

I just read this entire thread and feel like the Principal in Billy Madison:

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

LOL. I’ll deduct myself some cool points.

Bingo.

Also, J_fail, make sure your wifey sees that picture.

You should be glad. You went here, right?.. 8)

His better half makes up for his shortcomings. A curse we’d all gladly be afflicted with.

I feel sorry for Katie Meador. They use her pic to advertise all future Women’s games, & you know she has no chance in hell of getting in the game. That’s exploitation. She used to be a role player, but now plays none. Hey, if she’s not going to play, don’t market her. That’s all I’m saying.

I don’t blame the Coaching Staff, I blame Marketing. Know what you’re promoting.

Fixed.

You would think someone in the AD’s Office would have petitioned the A10 to let them have the girls game earlier on Saturday. At 7 p.m. in Halton when the girls play, most of our fans will be at WWC watching the men on MASN. Seems like we could have had the girls play earlier so people could see both.

I met with a client today for lunch. He said his daughters went to the game yesterday and had a blast. They got all kinds of Niner goodies to bring home also. They will be coming to more games (both men’s and women’s) in the future.

Hopefully other families will be doing the same. I’d say it was a very succesful event.

I would second that.
