Yes, this is now “old” news, but figured it should be posted anyway.
Will be curious to see a list of his suitors. I’m guessing he goes to a ACC school.
NC State and Kentucky among those interested in the now ex-X-Man.
Can he play right away?
X has lost everyone from last year. Wow.
Doubt it. Afterall, he was not just kicked off the team - he was kicked out of school!

While I haven’t looked at this kind of information in several months, there is a rule that requires a student athlete to be eligible at the school from which he is transferring (even if he wasn’t playing) in order to be eligible at the school to which he is transferring. In essence, I don’t think he would be eligible to play immediately (depending on how widely the scope of “eligible” is defined).

FWIW, seems pretty similar to what happened at Saint Louis at first glance.
From “According to Alex Kline” earlier today:
RT @JonRothstein: Xavier transfer Dez Wells will likely land at Louisville, Memphis, or Texas. He could decide as early as this week.
Latest has Kentucky, Maryland, and Memphis as leading for Wells. Does seem that wherever he lands, a request will be made to the NCAA for him to play this season.

Headed to College Park.
