People will keep seeing these so-called Cinderella stories, but it is simply the NCAA and NIT committees putting garbage teams from P5 leagues in when they shouldnāt.
AAC smoked the P5 teams last night and the final score is not indicative to how either game went. UNT never trailed after about 8 minutes left in the 1st half and led by 17 midway the 2nd half. UCF didnāt lead after it was 4-3 in the first couple of minutes in the game and USF lead by as many as 15 early in the 2nd. Yeah UCF got close but never really got in control of the game.

I mean it wonāt happen - but how perfect would it be if UVA was done with Tony Bennet and Ron found himself without a job.

The excuses for underperforming in the NIT by p5 teams is always āoh well they didnāt want to be there anyway so they didnāt play with energy and passion that a lowly old mid major does when theyāre delighted to be gifted with the privilege of NIT.
Same b.s. narratives every year.
Pissed me off for years that CUSA would get like 1 NCAA bid and a low seed at that, but that team would win games every time. Guess those P5 clubs didnāt really wanna be in the NCAAs either?
