What's your favorite food to grill out with?

steak, tuna medalions, pork tenderloin, burgers, ribs, dogs, pineapple, chicken, potatoes, onion, etc. etc. etc.

doesn’t really matter… if it can be grilled… I can do it, and do it well.

probably most known for my steaks, tuna and burgers though.

so the shrimp in this isn’t actually on the grate? its essentially steaming/smoking the shrimp? that sounds freaking awesome.
I do enjoy the red meat and pork products, but my favorite is probably tuna steak with grilled asparagus. If you do it right (and the tuna is at least somewhat fresh), the inside stays pink and the outside is crispy brown with cracked pepper and herbs encrusted. Dip the asparagus in oil and sugar, and grill until just past crispy (not soggy).

In fact, most vegetables and fish come out well on the grill, and are a little easier on the arteries.
if you are looking for a more subtle flavor for your tuna… marinate it in a paste made from OJ, ginger, garlic and lemon pepper.

:agreed:

I’ll also vouch for ginger and lemon for Ahi Tuna steaks etc. Ginger is a clean and crisp flavor, I love it used with chicken as well.

does every one with a SS grill outsde in the elements use a cover?

I have a Kenmore SS I got from Sears for ~$200 and I also am using the cover. But it is kinda annoying taking it off and putting it back on. Also, it looks alot cooler with it off.

Anyone not use a cover and their grill is still holding up? (ex. not rusting)

Go to Aldi. Buy a pound of ground turkey meat for $2.50 (everytime!)

Bring it home. Make 4 burgers. Grill. Eat. Delicious.

I’ve started eating turkey burgers… weird to grill burgers with so little fat in them.

They don’t taste the same, but they certainly are not bad. I prefer them with a slice of pepperjack and the usual fixins on a grilled sesame sandwich bun… :yum:

I know Bloom has 2 kinds of 1lb. Turkey packages for sale. The one for $2.99 isn’t as healthy as the real lean turkey for ~$4.00. The nutritional facts were night and day. I wonder if the cheap turkey is just as healthy as the lean hambuger? Idk, I just remember seeing the cheaper package and thinking, this isn’t very healthy for it to be turkey.

we have a recipe where you mix the meat with chopped onions, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and some other ingredients… Makes a delicious burger. Add the cheese and you’re on.

They also taste really good on the sandwich thin’s (flatbread).

I think the issue your going to run into is the elements just baking onto the finish. It destroys that clean metal look over time. Unless of course you clean it consistently etc. I’d would just keep it under the cover if you want to keep it looking like new. Ours isn’t under a cover and over the last year or so its gotten dull looking. Nothing I do is bringing back that nice clear metal look, but it isn’t bad either.

That being said though, no major issues with rust or anything.

^^^ Yeah, I was at Wallie World a couple years back and saw the cheaper turkey and couldn’t believe my eyes. Then I really looked at it and noticed it wasn’t as lean and the raw texture appear to be much more processed. That said though, I don’t think anyone can tell the difference between the two, unless your tongue is really sensitive (but in that case you have other problems.)

That does sound good, would like to try it on grilled panini.

Turkey burgers = vaginal mesh

Other than seasoning them really well when I do turkey burgers, I put in Goat cheese rolled into the center of the burgers. It makes for an especially tasty healthy burger.
