What's your favorite food to grill out with?

When it’s warm (but not too warm), there’s nothing like putting some raw meat on the hot grill with a nice cold one in your hand.

I gotta go with hamburgers/hotdogs for a larger setting. I def love some ribs though and steaks are good for a small setting.

Smoked beef brisket.

I grill out so much though, I enjoy everything.

I love boiling up some ribs and then marinating them overnight and then finishing them up on the grill… like. heaven.

Has anyone ever tried this?

Its pretty decent. I’ve made it a few times.

Dislike.

Bacon wrapped shrimp is my most recent favorite grilled item. Make sure to get the bacon a little cooked before wrapping the shrimp!

I prefer grilling chickins but the marinade is key. Beer can chicken gets the kids all excited but make sure to use indirect heat or else you’ll wind up with cajun style chicken.

I think since cibik started this thread, we should all get to go eat at his house for the 4th.

If you boil ribs, the terrorists win. Get yourself a smoker and do them right.

I lived in an apt… sorry for not having a smoker.

You can use your grill. Try this method one day when you have some time.

Just a heads up, if you have a grill, even a small one - with an aluminum pan filled with water, and the charcoal off to one side with the ribs on the other side. This works even with the $15 Wal Mart square cheapies.

I like grilling Brontosaurus Burgers. They’re not too gamey and they’re very filling.

I can’t say I have a favorite. I grill a lot of different stuff. I guess the one I grill the most often would be chicken.

I am really getting into BBQing pork and beef though. Especially ribs, night/day difference between BBQing and braise/grilling them. Brisket is good but I’ve really gotten into Flank for BBQing, it carries a bit more flavor imop. But both are great.

I  grilling.

I’m a burger/dogs kind of guy. Love putting bacon bits and shredded cheddar cheese in the hamburger meat. Add some salt n pepper with a dash of garlic powder and you’re good to go.

I do enjoy the red meat and pork products, but my favorite is probably tuna steak with grilled asparagus. If you do it right (and the tuna is at least somewhat fresh), the inside stays pink and the outside is crispy brown with cracked pepper and herbs encrusted. Dip the asparagus in oil and sugar, and grill until just past crispy (not soggy).

In fact, most vegetables and fish come out well on the grill, and are a little easier on the arteries.

im too smart, i know the golden rule… go to other people’s houses where you don’t have to clean up ::slight_smile:

Sounds great, but I generally never had 3 hours (a minimum) to grill. But I’ll put that one in my back pocket now that I’d have the time on my side since I’m no longer married and can do as I damn well please (without constant bitching).

hahahahahahaha!

i think you just asked to have the July 4th cook-out at your place.

Burgers and dogs are my fav. I also like throwing on some hot italian sausages, shrimp, produce, and even pineapple.

Anipalcraig is a pretty phenomenal grillmaster. He makes ridiculous burgers.
