We’ve heard tons of rumors, but who are the ACTUAL candidates? Who has been interviewed? We seem to be doing a better job of keeping it hush hush then any other programs.
I’m dying to know who our next coach could possibly be.
No one knows. No one will know until the coach is hired.

Are we doing a better job of keping it hush hush, or is it just that there is nobody out there doing serious research to find the answers? Utter’s covering NASCAR on the weekends and the national media doesn’t care enough to dig deeply.
I don’t think Utter is relevant in the equation. I have thought since the beginning that our information would come from in the following order:
National News → Local news of the coach being interviewed → Ninernation insider info → Ninerreport → Utter.

I can honestly say I’m happier with no one knowing (including us), when compared to the opposite scenario of the whole world knowing everything we’re doing.
Has there been anything new here over the weekend or is it pure speculation and throwing out names?

I imagine if we find out before a hire is made, it will come from the fans of the school where the candidate currently works.
Well I can tell you Utter and his sources are nowhere close. There are other guys who haven’t even been mentioned who could be in the mix. Top candidates.

I heard Scotty Olson signed a 7-year contract to be announced at the Wake Baseball Game on Tuesday. 
He’ll be making $49 a year.
I think at this point, everyone has come to grips with the fact that the hire will most likely come out of left field and most people will have never heard of the guy. There will be a unanimous :o “WE HIRED WHO?” on the board whenever the day comes.

I think more like out of left field because it will be kept quiet and then everyone like, “WOW - GREAT HIRE”. We’ll have to wait and see.

I sure hope you’re right. It scares the bejeezus out of me that Phil has the final say in this matter. All of the suggestions that I’ve been hearing are Judy’s ideas have been fantastic, and the ones that were supposedly Phil’s have been freaking TERRIBLE.
I don’t think Phil is a dumb guy. I think he knows why we pay Judy and will listen to her.
