Withers getting Major Love

Luke Winn giving Curtis headlines!

EXCELLENT READ!!!

Yes! THATS AWESOME.

Big Curt indeed.

Dolce!

nice

If Withers' play in Dallas is any indication, he could use the summer as a launching pad to go from the second-most-recognized player at his own school in '04-05, to a legit first-team, preseason All-America candidate in '05-06.
Let's hope so! Go Curtis!

First, someone check on moss2k. He hasnā€™t replied to this thread yet, making me think heā€™s seriously incapacitated.

In that NCAA loss, Withers witnessed first-hand how a veteran leader -- in that case, the Wolfpack's Julius Hodge -- can take command in crunch time. "I heard a lot of gossip about Hodge -- a lot of people didn't like him -- but after that game, I have a lot of respect for him," Withers said. "He was hungry, and he played with a lot of heart. I learned from that, too -- if you want to win, you've got to carry your team."

Thisā€¦ this is what Iā€™m talking about.

as long as the ā€˜butterfingersā€™ Withers doesnā€™t make a return there is no reason he couldnā€™t be 1st Teamā€¦A10 style of play could have an impact too?

I couldnā€™t be any more pumped for the season to start now!

Had to send a thanks to Luke. While it was favorable, that was no fluff piece. It had some character. Nice job!

Wow! Gave me chills reading it. Curt has to get us to the next level this year. Great quotes from Martelli, too.

NA, can you post Winnā€™s email address?

he scores without the ball," Martelli said of Withers.

Teaching this kind of skill is what makes you National Coach of the Year. It sounds like some kind of Phil Jackson meta-physical basketball trick.

Gregg Doyel is giving his ā€œloveā€ to another playerā€¦

Sportsline.com: Deaconsā€™ Gray ready to step into limelight

ā€œIt was nothing personal; Martelliā€™s St. Joeā€™s team had never faced Withersā€™ Charlotte squad, nor had the coach ever seen the senior forward in action on television.ā€

how bout 2 years ago when we played texas tech and could have played saint joes? the night before in the hotel the coaches were doing a little history on st joes, goingover players and had watched videoā€¦plus u cant tell me that even up to now he hasnā€™t seen one of our games? esp. since weā€™re entering his league

Speaking of Pops, I read on the GW board that he's on Andy Katz's Naismith Preseason Top 50 List for 2005-06. Since I don't subscribe to ESPN.com Insider, I can't check to see if Curt is on the list as well (he better be!!!).

Vincent Grier is #42.

Thanks!!!

Is this list in order?

If Justin Gray and Eric Williams are the first and second best college basketball players in the country, then Iā€™m an Amish pornstar.

No, it appears as though they are grouped according to their conference.
