WKU becomes newest CUSA member
It ended up not being as bad because A-10 lost some really quality programs and might not be done, but this is not a good basketball conference. We’ll be lucky most years to get an at-large out of this conference.

If we are strong out of conference, we should be okay though.
Yeah it definitely won’t have at-large bids every year, but at least there are enough decent to good basketball programs to get them sometimes. Imagine being in the Sun Belt. That conference is now so bad at basketball it should have its automatic bid stripped and given to the C7 (BE).

C7 has an autobid, don’t they? I thought that was why they were okay with the move. They kept the name and since they had enough teams together long enough they still got an autobid.

Regardless, the new sunbelt is atrocious.

Ah, fair enough.

This actually is a pretty good fit for football as well, WKU went bowling last year and hired Bobby Petrino as their new coach. Regardless of what you may think of him personally, he knows his Xs and Os.

If he leaves, they get $800,000 and a home game from whatever program he goes to. Only way they lose is if he decides he doesn’t want to live in Bowling Green and goes to coach at a small-time program, but I’m sure they can waive the home game if they wanted to.
