Tennessee (13-4-2), the host team, battles Furman (16-5-1) in the other first round NCAA Tournament game in Knoxville, Tennessee. The winners of those two games will meet for a berth in the Sweet Sixteen, Sunday, November 18. The 49ers are making their third NCAA Tournament appearance in the program’s history after making the NCAA’s in 1998 and 2002.
