Not interested. I want a standalone because I dont want the noise or the mess of having to connect to and run a PC or the 360 when I watch HD DVDs.
Plus, it has become obvious that the Toshiba HD-A2 (HD DVD standalone) is going to be widely available for under $200 in the next 30-60 days. I might get one of those, or I’ll wait for the dual format players to come down some more. I was hoping that would happen by XMas, but I doubt it now. They’ll still be $300-$400.
Yeah, I would prefer to get a dual format but, I don’t I’m going to be able to wait long enough to find one I can afford. I’ve stopped buying regular DVD’s because the quality is just so much beter when you have an HD screen like mine. 8’ across.
I haven’t seen any duals that are under a grand. What have you seen?
It's rumoured (http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,135078-c,gameconsoles/article.html) to drop by $50 in August. I still haven't bought one yet either. Trying to wait until then.
The man upstairs owns one so I would be able to use one whenever I want. Man I can’t wait for Halo 3.
yeah, im not really expecting a drop though becuase i heard a similar rumor for june… but that never happened… :pout:
