Left 4 Dead is the best game I have played all year, so much fun online.I heard it had an awesome coop? I'm still playin gears 2 even though I don't really like it but may rent L4D just because of what I've heard

I played Left4Dead for over 4 hours sat night. It is a total blast! An excellent co-op game. For people wondering what it is like - think I am Legend - being in the movie with 3 of your buddies fighting off ALL the zombies. GREAT GAME!

You pretty much only play it online, if you play single player it would get boring quick.

The lag is brutal, but the game is still the most fun game on the market.
My gamertag for xbox 360 is d roc15. I have gears of war 2, guitar hero world tour and mortal kombat vs dc. I’m just now starting to get back into playing online.
I’m back online, finally… recently got some new games, Call of Duty WAW, FIFA 09 and GHWT/RB2… kroberts11 is the tag.
I got NCAA Hoops 09 a couple weeks ago. I’m looking into a new game as well. It’s between Left 4 Dead and COD5. Any recommendations either way?
Call of Duty 5 is a WW2 game, have you played one of those before?..

Depends on the game. Sports games im way more in to single players, whereas in COD4 ive pretty much stayed with the multiplayer
I will say that Left 4 Dead is not a wise purchase unless you plan to play multiplayer. That game exists for pretty much its online play.

Multiplayer is pretty much where it is at in any FPS/3PS

All depends on what you want to play. The Gears campaign is awesome. You can play through it alone or with a friend in co-op. I have played it online and find it OK. L4D on the other hand has a single player mode that is not much fun, but is a blast when playing with a few friends. They are two completely different games with totally different gaming experiences.

L4D has a shorter shelf life. The multiplayer campaign is fun, but I will probably be playing GoW multiplayer for years.
I’m still playing my old games, I haven’t gotten a new one since COD4: MW. Baby came and I don’t feel like dropping $60 on a new one, but Xmas is coming. Was thinking of getting COD: W@W, possibly something else. Not sure what. I like to play on Live, so if there are any suggestions.
Oh yea, I hate RPG games, namely b/c they are too hit or miss and I don’t have that kind of time.

Fallout, Fable and Mass Effect are can’t miss games. Fallout is the only one of those that really requires a huge time drain.
I will jock GoW2, but if you didn’t like the first one, you’re not gonna like the second one. I’ve heard mixed reviews for CoDW@W, most of my friends that played it went back to CoD4. But there are a lot of people playing it online.
L4D is fun with the right people, I’ve only played it twice, but it was a lot of fun.
Seems like there is just nothing beating me over the head to request. I freaking loved COD4, but I’ve heard the same mixed reviews you said about COD5.
Gears just didn’t do it for me.

Hell I’ve gone back to playing NCAA hoops 2k8 since there will be no 2k9 and MM sucks, with Elon in Legacy mode.
Fable, Mass Effect and Fallout are all RPGs, but they aren’t japanese RPGs. They are all action RPGs and a lot of fun. The trend in US RPGs is the morality play, are you good or evil?! It is getting a little played out, but I have sunk about 50 hours into all three of those and they are all great games.
The biggest problem with Gears 2 multiplayer is that they tried to Halo it up. Their old matchmaking system was the witch’s tits.
If you get gears 2, let me know. A lot of that game is playing with the right people (sort of like L4D). If you don’t have a team that works together, it is a really hard game to play.

The biggest problem with Gears 2 is the lag. If the timer doesn’t start right away when the game is about to start (it just shows a clock) LEAVE. You’ll save yourself a lot of stress if you do because either 1) the game is going to lag horribly or 2) someone is using the standby cheat. You don’t want to play that game under either condition. The glitches have gotten out of control but they are temporary.
The rumor is that there will be a major update before Xmas that is going to fix the glitches, better match players for decreased lag, and do some weapon tweaking particularly the shotgun and chainsaw. I hope the rumor is true.
