05-06 to 09-10 Line-up

Who would you have as our starting 5 if you only include players from 2005-2006 until now?

Mine:
PG: Baldwin
SG: Leemire
SF: Alexander
PF: Spears
C: Withers

First F/C off the bench: Braswell
First G off the bench: Harris

What would you guys pick?

Same starting lineup. Jones, Drayton, Braswell, Harris, Green, Dewhurst and Wilderness on the bench. I think Drayton and Green would be my first guys off the bench.

Well, I can’t start Leemire twice, but I guess if we could clone him… (Edit: Ha, I saw you put “Over Lee?” before you edited! You rascal.)

I wouldn’t say Baldwin was leaps and bounds better than Harris, but I think he was slightly.

EJ was a double double machine…

EJ was good, but would you start him over Withers, Spears or Alexander? I wouldn’t.

Green PG - Green has played some PG this year so I’m putting him in as PG
Leemire SG
Alexander SF
Spears PF
Withers C

Can’t really argue with the other 4.

To add onto that, isn’t Braswell 2nd in freshman Double-doubles behind Jarvis Lang?

PG: Leemire Goldwire
SG: DeAngelo Alexander
SF: Lamont Mack
PF: Shamari Spears
C: Curtis Withers

This lineup with Gerrity, Braswell, Drayton and Green off the bench.

EJ could have been nasty if he played the right position.

Bench: Green

Bobby is reading this drooling.

and I WANT CC3 on MY ****in team!

Starting Lineup:

PG: Mitchell Baldwin (healthy)
SG: Leemire Goldwire
SF: De’angelo Alexander
PF: Shamari Spears
C: Curtis Withers

First few off the bench:

Lamont Mack
Di’Juan Harris
E.J. Drayton
Chris Braswell

Rest of the Scholarships:

Marcus Bennett
Charles Dewhurst
Phil Jones
Derrio Green

I think Bennett was awesome and all, but he never had a chance to show what he was capable of. I would take a proven guard over Bennett.

EJ was good, but would you start him over Withers, Spears or Alexander? I wouldn’t.
He was a better defender than Spears or Alexander, and had more size. I’d probably put him at the pf spot, with Spears off the bench.

Post-injury, Baldwin was as tentative driving the basket as Harris has become lately, though he was still a good game manager and didn’t make many mistakes. Pre-injury, Baldwin was more effective.

I’d say:
pre-injury Baldwin
Goldwire
Alexander
Drayton
Withers

bench: Harris, Spears, Mack, Wilderness, Bennett, Nance, and Braswell (in that order off the bench).

I’m excited about Green’s potential, but he’s so streaky it’s hard to put him on over other guys. I could see him on there over Bennett maybe. I hope by the time he’s finished he’s a clear starter on a team like this…

Edit: left off Braswell, I’d put him in place of Coley

No Coley on purpose? or did you forget him?

I would take Coley if it was a dunk contest but in a game I would stick with Spears, Withers, Mack, Drayton, and Braswell at the PF spot. I did forget about Nance I would probably add him in place of Phil in my lineup when a true C was needed.

pg harris
sg green
sf drayton
pf withers
c braswell
first off the bench
pf spears
sf goldwire
c jones
sf mack
pg baldwin

Starters:

Harris
Lee
DA
Spears
Withers

Bench: Mack, Bras, EJ, Phil, Nance, Green and Baldwin.

I went with Harris over Baldwin at the pt just because Harris wants it more than Mitch. That team could do some damage.
