09-10 Non-Conference

i don't understand this. i like our app state game/series, and hope it continues. :twocents:

Even though I think App State was mathmatically our worst loss this season, I kind of like having them on the sked too. Hopefully, their team will improve.

I also liked having ODU on the schedule. Historically, they play feisty against us and they usually have a good W-L record.

I just didn’t like the way Charlotte performed against either one of them. Good scheduling; horrible results. Bottom line is you have to win.

It is fate that we’re going to play them. Maybe in the post season.

Cheerleaders sponsored by Bi-Mart. I should have gone to U. of O.

Dream big.

I bet BYU’s cheerleaders are sponsored by Hendrickson’s Home Plus

Someone mentioned this already, and Bobby may try this, I don’t know. I would schedule teams from the Big East, ACC, SEC, and so on that are middle of the pack or lower. Georgia Tech, Georgia, Vandy, VT, etc.

These games would be interesting for the general public. Teams like LIU and Youngstown St. are not very exciting. Of course, we were not very exciting this year either.

He will probably give up his last semester of eligiblity to transfer elsewhere.

Ha!

That is funny.

Some things we don’t need to know about you.

That would be quite a show to watch… Harris vs. the quitter. I’d pay double to watch. Maybe they can set-up a one-on-one game…lol.

BYU’s cheerleaders are all probably married to the same dude.

I want Cincy, the Ville, Mempiss, UAB, Houston, & Marquette. Bring back the C-USA!

Where is that website where all of the colleges post on a message board to callaborate scheduling games? There used to be a thread about it. The site sorta resembled Craigslist. Teams would post an open date and list the quality of team they were looking to face. I thought it was interesting.

He has asked teams from these conferences on a regular basis and they has shown little to no interest. The Missouri Valley commish called Bobby a few years ago asking why he wouldn’t play any of him teams (when we were not playing Southern Illinois). Bobby said he’d contacted all of them and no one wanted to come to Charlotte other than Southern Illinois.

The Youngstown State game was a done to get a home game, they already had contracted with High Point and wanted two games in the area for their trip. Can’t say how Long Island was scheduled. Obviously you’re going to be buying games over the holidays, no decent team will play you then. And unfortunately, we’re not like Syracuse that can dictate when you’ll play them at home.

Oh yeah! I think its on the NCAA website. Anyone have it?

I was always a big fan of USF. The Sun Dolls were the best thing about the Metro.
We should really try to get 2 big east teams on the schedule. I wouldn’t care if they were in the bottom of the league (Rutgers, St. John’s, S. Fla, Depaul, Seton Hall) but would prefer middle of the pack. It wouldn’t want to play the top right now and there’s no way they would schedule us anyway.
Even still, those teams would bring people in. Who doesnt know who Rutgers is or Seton Hall, St. Johns etc etc.

I like those teams too, due to geography…

Unfortuantely, its becoming VERY tough to find a ‘guaranteed’ win anymore…

UNCG was one of the worst basketball teams I’ve ever seen.

Hey…any team that can make us look good…can’t be all bad…lol!
