utter’s is the most accurate.

UMass beatwriter Matt Vautour reveals his A-10 picks, including all-conference for DiJuan Harris and Chris Braswell.

7. Charlotte - In theory I could have ranked the 49ers higher, but I'm unconvinced at Charlotte's ability to put together a good year in the league under Bobby Lutz.

I’d rather they give us low expectations.

Is there any respect for Lutz in the A10 circle?

should there be?

He’s still made we knocked them out of the tounry Lee’s senior year. We did finish second in the league the first year we were in it… can’t say much since.

How is he showing any type of bias? He included our freshman into the All-Conference list, and didn’t include a guy like Murray who was rated higher than Chris on almost every list.

Also, #7 is about what everyone is picking us at sans Jim Utter.

Yeah, I don’t think #7 is a terribly unreasonable assumption for our team. Especially before we see how they play together. Lots of assumptions made about this team that may or may not pan out.

Updated to include Lindy’s, which so far is the lowest prediction for the Niners at 11th.

Hooty High Brow Vick:lmao: told me this is the year Bobby gets the boys turned in the right direction.:49ers:

Hard to believe Lindy’s dissed us like that! I noticed that one of the publications I was reading yesterday made it perfectly clear that Lutz had to win this year or he’s out. They never specified whether that means NCAA’s or bust or just winning more than half our games. Either way I guess you can’t get too angry about the predicted standings if you go by what the team has done the last couple seasons.

Sure you can, we won close to 20 games two years ago and were decimated with injuries last year, 11th is a slap in the face! If everyone is here and healthy (hard thing for us) we won’t do worse than 7th.

I definitely feel that 11th is waaay too low. To be honest Lindy’s has never given us much respect anyway. They down played us when we were in Conference USA and making the NCAA’s on a regular basis.

A BBALL SIGHTING!!!

I am cautiously optimistic about this year, but I can see why no one other than us would think so.

Like I’ve said in the past…preseason rankings only matter to Dayton.

If you only had to do this----why do we need these so-called “experts”? The whole point is these guys are getting paid to research the teams and then make sound judgements/prognostications----clearly many do very little research.
Is there any respect for Lutz in the A10 circle?
The respect was not there in CUSA, either. The difference was that we kicked some @$$ for most of our tenure there and never cared what the others tought about us. We just need to start doing the same in the A10.
