In star power I mean a crowd favorite, an explosive athlete, a very charismatic personality...think like Nate Robinson with the Knicks, but IMO more endearing and genuine.
Well Henderson initially will not be a crowd favorite b/c he went to Duke, other than that I don’t see where he couldn’t be. He fits the explosive athlete portion. He may be charismatic, he’s just not as forward I believe as Williams, but as I mentioned before some people have questions williams b/c of his personality saying he may lack focus.
I’m not trying to get you to change your mind, I’m just trying to understand why people are higher on Williams.
The latest rumor has us trading Raja Bell and the 12th pick to Golden State for Kelenna Azuibuke (i dont know how it’s spelled) and Marco Belinelli.
I don’t like that idea at all because Raja Bell is one hell of a defender. I like us drafting henderson or williams and letting that person backup Bell.

I don’t either. Bell is easily the best or second best defender on this team and Kelenna is WILDLY overrated. Bellinelli’s good, but if Brown really wants a hardnosed defensive team then he isn’t going to find a better perimeter fit than Bell i.e. plays excellent defense and can spread the floor with his shooting when we need it. If we make this trade, then I have no clue what our organization is trying to achieve.

I think it’s strictly because of size. They see Williams being able to play the 2 or 3, while Henderson is too short for the 3. The 2 things I don’t get are they say Williams is the better athlete. He may be, but Henderson is an hell of an athlete too. So I don’t that should be a deciding factor. Second they say Williams is a streakier shooter. I wouldn’t rate outside shooting as one of Henderson’s strong skills. So again, I’m not sure it should be a deciding factor.
Those factors make sense when comparing a Williams or Henderson to Curry. But they seem too close to me when comparing Henderson vs Williams.

From what I read the pick wasn’t involved in the trade… and the GS shot it down
Nets trade Vince Carter to the Magic for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee.
The word is the Nets will select Terrence Williams with the 11th pick.
I hate they’re giving up Lee, but Peitrus is pretty much the same player right now. If they re-sign Turk they will be right there with Cleveland and the Celtics again next year, they’ll have a few year window to win one.
Sucks about Williams, I guess Henderson will end up a Bobcat now.
If he fits in, he was still a 20 ppg player last year who can create his own shot, he fills the biggest hole for Orlando (besides FT shooting). Of course, chances are he ruins the team by December and sets the franchise back 5 years. It’s obviously a go for broke move.
None of this matters if they don’t resign Turkoglu.

The team with the best ball movement in the league, just acquired the antithesis of ball movement.

Again, if he buys into the system he will be a great pickup. He’s on his last NBA legs, he should be playing for a title at this point. Will he? Who knows, but if plays in the system he will be a great pickup because he can actually take somebody off the dribble.
