According to the Radford message board, the school had inadvertently posted the schedule online through a glitch (2010-11 was set as default, but you could select 2011-12 in drop down menu).
According to that, our game at Radford is December 6th, a Tuesday. The next day the Ladies host UNCW, and Vanderbilt visits Davidson (Personally, Iâm more interested in seeing a Top 10 team beat up the Mildcats in their game before us).

Living in a small town, its a blast to go tailgate for the HS game, go to the game and then go to a bar and have a few drinks. The whole town is at the game and out and about after the game.
This!
HS football is where itâs at. You guys who went to HS in Charlotte and the surrounding areas have no clue what HS football is all about. The whole town shuts down and is in the parking lot tailgating by 5pm. I grew up 2 hours from here, but still listen to my high schoolâs games on live stream every Friday night. Itâs much more entertaining than our Niner basketball team has been over the last 6 years. Of course, it helps that my high school is 39-7 over the last 3 years.
If it comes down to my high school football team in the playoffs or Niner season opener against a nobody, Iâm choosing high football every time.

Very true. Missed the Gardner Webb game with a GW student to go to my high school football game last year.
Iâve got no dog in the fight, but Iâll just say I havenât stepped foot on Central Cabarrusâs campus since I graduated from there in 96. And I have followed them in absolutely nothing.
49ers it is for me. Why I have so much college pride and so little high school pride, Iâll never know and donât care to find out.
As for Radford. I might be in. 2 hours drive for me is not bad at all, even if it is Tues night. Have to see what the work day looks like.

For most people the high school you go to is determined by circumstance, but college is a choice. Makes the difference, for me at least.
I hated the game - the the pregame was awesome and the walk thru their smug campus was even better. NLP + Davidson campus walk = EPIC
Aside from that it was my first foot inside their little gym since I was in school and it did one very important thing. It stoked my hatred of them to a level that I thought not possible. I am looking forward to this years game for sure - but NEXT years return to Davidson I am looking VERY forward to.
I applied to 3 places, & App wanted more info, so I thought, screw it, UNCC & ECU already accepted me.
C-Pip, geography did play into it. I had a shitty car, & if it broke down on the way home or back to school from Statesville, I had 5 possible people to come get me. If my car broke down on the way to ECU, I was just SOL.

That series seemed like a no-brainer.
how is it a no brainer. not much to be gained in that game except that it is a local game. they are not as good as under marshall so the win wouldnt do much for our sos.

If weâre going to play a team that does nothing for our profile anyway, Iâd rather it be a team close enough to travel to and develop a rivalry with.
Iâd much prefer to do away with our out-of-state series unless theyâre big names, and play App, ECU, Winthrop, etc instead.

It was a 3 year deal. I think it would be nice to continue it, but itâs up to the coaches. Winthrop went 0-3, not sure they are crazy to keep it going.
