Why? What the hell have we done lately that we’re so proud?[/quote]

Nobody circles the wagons like we do!

Besides the fact that they’re still our bitch on the court and always will be?

They lost to our worst team in several decades. 'nuff said.

By that logic Dwade is our bitch, since we beat him a couple times with bad teams.

Getting a one sided deal has a lot more to do with your fan support and what you can pay, and even NC State, Wake, and Clemson the last few years haven’t signed series that lopsided vs ECU.

BTW the series is 13-6 with 9 in Charlotte, 9 in Greenville, 1 neutral.

Didn’t they beat us last year?

We won comfortably on a neutral court and then they squeaked by at home.

Ban Hootie.

I bleed green- I’m just pointing out that we have no right to have ANY high ground at this point in our programs history.

1-1 vrs a suck-balls team. Yeah- we should demand that everybody come to Halton. You have convinced me beyond any doubt.

Part of an article written last week…

Morrow, a rising senior forward on the East Carolina men's basketball team, responded to a challenge from Pirate coach Jeff Lebo early last season and completely changed his diet, attacked workouts and practices with newfound vigor and transformed himself from a mostly effective 271-pound player into a nearly unstoppable 240-pound revelation.

“I needed that,” Morrow said of Lebo declaring that Morrow looked “out of shape” after a win over Lenoir-Rhyne on Nov. 27, 2010. “I couldn’t be the best player that I could be with all that weight on me and obviously coach Lebo saw that.”

Then Lebo, and everyone else who follows Conference USA basketball, saw what Morrow’s improved conditioning did for his game, and consequently, ECU’s chances of winning.

ECU was a much different team that last half of the year after he lost the 31 pounds. The 4 post season games to finish the year he averaged 20.3 points and 13.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks. If he plays like he finished year we will be a scary team.

I wonder if Lebo would leave ECU to be the next host of The Biggest Loser.

Nahhhhhh, his family loves Greenville!!!

bottom line. you guys lose brock young, who was your point guard and best player, your big guy wynn, and a couple starters. morrow better be great if you guys have a chance of overcoming those losses.

You’re forgetting that Bowden is now eligible. He scored a bunch of points against Louisville in his best game of the year, so he is now going to replicate that for an entire season.

i hope bowden plays a lot against us. i cant wait to see mayfield play full pressure defense on him and watch him cough up the ball. i was impressed with paris roberts campbell when i saw him in person but he didnt do much against thorne and trinity christian. we certainly cant look down at anybody right now but with that being said i fully intend to kick their butt. so ill ask it stilljonesing, just because i would rather talk basketball than argue. what is your projected starting five?

Of all of ECU’s incoming recruits and transfers, they should be the LEAST excited about Bowden.

Seriously. We haven’t been good in a long time.

We had 19 wins 2 seasons ago & 20 wins 4 seasons ago. That was in between 1 year ago & 3 years ago, eason.

I would call that average for those two years at best. Good teams make the NCAA tourney. The ones that aren’t good don’t.

Morrow attracted a lot of help defense off our shooters last year, so a guy like Bowden could have a big year. Young played hurt all year off the bench and Wynn was never a factor. In those spots we got a transfer PG from Missouri and a big man from S. Carolina I expect fill those voids and probably improve them.

We return 3 starters but the only sure bets to start IMO are Morrow at center and the Missouri transfer at PG. I think the 4 guys form our top 7 last year from last year and 4 transfers are probably our top 8 roatation. We return 2 wing starters so I expect Bowden to come off the bench and if he doesn’t embrace the role (he did in JUCO and was 2nd team all conf off the bench) we have both Roberts Campbell and a Serbian 3 point shooter Im not counting in the top 8, so he’s replaceable.

How about about you guys. Seems your biggest question mark from an outsider is PG and possibly starting a freshman there. Sounds like you have talented newcomers but they are all young and it will probably time. You guys playing any overseas trips this summer.

GTG with some much needed #scoop to make everybody (except you know who) forget about shamarr bowden: http://wp.me/sHZdv-2661
The EZU Pirates won’t be the only swashbucklers we’ll be hosting.
