date is December 31st in Memphis. One game only.
Why is their no return date?
Because it was a 1 game fill the schedule deal.
there’s no pressing reason for Memphis to return the trip…we get nothing out of it and 6BC was willing to take a bye game.
should be fun!

Lutz ran you guys into the ground. No reason to come play in Charlotte unless ESPN is willing to televise it.
Well hello gents.
Hey Menpiss fans! Long time no see!
How’s that move to the Big East go…oh, nevermind.
Embarrassing.

I know it’s a stretch for a Tiger High fan, but when trying to run smack, at least know what you’re talking about. “bye” game? Seriously?

i blame Steve Jobs (oh, it gets his name right i see)…autocorrect sucks.
haha. I’m looking forward to the game. We haven’t had much to get excited about lately.

The only reason for a return trip would be for another chance to get your FIRST EVER victory in Halton.
You are 0 for 5 at this point. I guess you don’t want to ruin that perfect record.

I think UM is a win-win. If we win, we win, if we lose, we win when they get stripped of their victories again. How many times has Memphis been on probation since the '70’s? 4 or 5 times?
I know there 2 Final 4’s were revoked to put them behind our 1.

incorrect…
Memphis has played in 3 Final Fours…in 1973 Memphis State, led by Larry Finch, lost to Bill Walton and UCLA in the National Championship…in 1985 Memphis State played in the Final Four, led by Keith Lee, and fell to eventual Champion Villanova…in 2008, Memphis, led by Derrick Rose and Chris Douglas-Roberts, lost to Kansas in the NCAA Championship.
the 1985 Final Four was vacated because Dana Kirk admitted to paying Keith Lee for playing his senior season…the 2008 Final Four was vacated because ETS said they “could not prove, or disprove” that Rose took the SAT himself…Rose still claims to this day he took the test himself…the 1973 Final Four still stands.
i’m rather excited about this season…Memphis returns all their starters from a NCAA team, and adds 5-star forward, Adonis Thomas.
edit: also, wins do NOT become losses when a season is vacated…it like the game never happened
Okay you’re 3-1 Final 4 advantage is now tied 1-1.
personally, i think vacating wins is about the most pointless punishment the NCAA could come up with…just don’t tell em i said that.
i was shocked to see Charlotte finished 10-20…

I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE YOU LOST TO TENNESSEE BY 20…WE BEAT EM

i wasn’t…Memphis was a team of freshman…talented freshman…but still freshman…
we had no business losing to teams like SMU, Rice, and ECU
that said, losing one game in route to a NCAA tourney is a LOT different than going 10-20.

I nominate this as post of the last two pages
. Glad to see we will be playing Memphis, even if there’s no return.
And am I the only one that enjoys (and finds it humorous) when fans from other teams come post here?
