Not sure that’s true. More Tulsa coaches have landed better gigs after Tulsa than Mizzou I believe.

Tulsa gave him 1.7 million a year. I think that’s way more than he’s worth but they are serious about winning.

In Volunteer State coaching news, Tennessee State hires Illinois State assistant Dana Ford, while LA Tech’s Michael White says “no” to Tennessee. NBCSports.com reporting that Donnie Tyndall of Southern Miss could be the Vols next target, so another vacancy could be coming to C-USA.

[/quote]Had to be some issues for a former SEC player and assistant coach to turn down a job in the SEC. Almost as much of a head scratcher as Haith leaving the SEC for Tulsa.

Not sure that’s true. More Tulsa coaches have landed better gigs after Tulsa than Mizzou I believe.

Dan D’Antoni has been hired (Mike D’Antoni’s older brother and assistant). Apparently he coached HS ball in Myrtle Beach and won a ton of games.

Maybe he knows everything Mike knows and can parlay his name into signing solid recruits, but it is hard to say right now.
