Based on a few retreats by Ross it sounds like we are after Izundu again.
That would be great!
yes it would be. Maybe even dorn would consider staying if izundu recommitted. I only say that since Dorn seemed to be on board until the news of izundu.
@Hoopseen New Charlotte coach Mark Price has been at the #AtlJam all day. Says he has up to 5 scholarships still available for next year’s team.
If this is true then we must already have couple guys lined up or maybe some of the transfers changed their mind.
or he might mean he doesn’t want to use all of them. if we can get izundu back, i would consider that my early birthday present…wishful thinking perhaps.
i respect that. i usually go that route as well. i hope we can land not only some players, but if we land izundu, we can get dorn back possibly. i’m guessing woods is gone no matter what but perhaps we can see a chain reaction of events here.
Use of the phrase “up to…” is more encouraging than if he just said 5 scholarships. I’d be surprised if they saved more than 2 scholarships next year (not including transfers that would have to sit out), also thinking at least one or two of those scholarships are being used by 5th year transfers or jucos.
I kind if didn’t realize just what a pickle we are in. We only have 2 players coming back that we signed as scholarship freshmen. Doesn’t change the overall roster that I had come to accept it just brought it into stark relief just what a drain of talent we have gone through over the major era.
When should we start being concerned that we haven’t signed anyone yet? I was expecting some news today on some guys that presumably visited this weekend. All you recruiting gurus, when do you get concerned. Not the level of concern you already have, I’m talking holy shit levels of concern.

Next week is another live evaluation period so the staff can scout guys in game situations again. There isn’t another live period until July.
Well, I think we all expected a little more signing activity than what we have had by now. Even just 1! Honestly not sure what to expect. I think a lot will be said about who Price’s first signee is. Until then, “we’ll be fine”.

also add preferred walk on point guard marquelle mcyntire. he would certainly be above mitch warner. if that kid ever plays in a game that isn’t a blowout, we have problems.
